I dig it. Looks like a cherry bomb muffler like they used to install on the muscle cars.

thanks. gotta make a run to HF. I'll likely use it for tack welding to build my sidecar frame. I'll likely have the final weld up done professionally. if the welds on my frame fail, it would cause LOTS of problems for me and a passenger. need to be safe. but this will help!

i bet you do fine. give proper gap to bond two surfaces. find correct middle ground heat setting and for best results , practice a few times first. have clean material and a GOOD ground. hard to screw up with these flux core welders. also, use gussets, will be indestructible.

make sure to post it on the "buy" thread so we can tell you "you should have gotten this one instead"

Totally agree with BB. Take your time. 75% of welding is taking your time and prep. make sure you are in a comfortable welding position and have at it. Auto darkening helmets help too. the old days when you had to flick your helmet I always moved my hands and was out of position.

if you are flux core welding remember to drag, don't push.

PS I'm just an amateur but I can drop some decent beads.

The glass pack makes it sound like a little muscle car. Can't beat the cost at $25.
