No,you are not imagining,the brake in and the valve clearance made a huge difference on mine.

I would of adjusted them before I started it the first time ,and the fish oil in the engine would of been replaced as well .

Replaced the oil and spark plug. It just runs so well kind of didn't want to mess it up.

I love my thunderbird. Wanted something cheap and fun to bang around on, thus the hawk.
