I did the R/C thing with my (ex) stepson for a while. We had a couple of R/C 10's and a T Max. Man, if a person thinks China Bikes need a lot of attention they should try the R/C hobby! :P
I also did line control airplanes for a while. I enjoyed that a lot.

I to got started in the rc thing to try and get my son to do something other than video games, but failed.i figured you would have given the remote controlled rc planes a try ,but I guess why when you can fly the real thing, huh fastdoc!

I've never crashed the big ones, but the R/C's give me fits! 8O
For a regular pilot to fly an R/C it's hard because our training relies on seat of the pants feel and instruments. I'll stick to what I know! The line control (circles) planes were fun. Just little balsa planes with .049's. Not including paint I'd have one built in an hour or so.

There are very few for sale locally but quite a few come up on EBAY. It's a logistical nightmare to get them home unless you want to pay large $$$ for freight, and then there's no guarantees on condition when they arrive.
My brother lives in VA, next time I visit I may have to bring one or two back with me.
