I've used Seal-All on external fuel leaks and it does a good job. Not sure how long it would last immersed, tho. The added weight of whatever you use on the float MAY make it tougher to set the level. Might be wise just to replace them.

That's good to know weld I'll look into a couple different products.
And cheesy I know it will ad weight. I'll just reset all the floats after there repaired. I just want to get it running as cheep as possible right now. Maybe replace them after I decide what my plan actually is. If papers come back I'll either keep if for myself or sell it. If no papers. Maybe a buggy project lol we'll see Dave |

I used Permatex Cold Weld to repair the float stand-offs in my old TS250. The fuel that was left in the bowl for decades literally dissolved one of the stand-offs, so I built a new one out of Cold Weld and then filed it to shape. After it was formed, I used the hole in the other stand-off as a guide and drilled the float pin hole. It has worked ever since.
If you apply Cold Weld (or whatever) to one side of the floats to repair a hole, try to add a similar amount to the other float in the same spot, in an attempt to balance it. Use as little as possible.
