The carb and exhaust look to be similar to most other china stuff. I am sure that a generic performance muffler would help and that jets for the carb would be easy to get.
Other than Intake/Exhaust there is not much more to be done. You will not find a big bore kit or anything like that. You can play with gearing. Allen

It looks a lot like my Gio Beast, but mine's a 200, and my front shocks were pogo sticks. The intake tube on yours looks just like mine. Your swingarm might accept the same Yamaha bushings that mine does. That's not a stupid question. The carb that we upgraded to looks like this:
Check out page four here. http://www.chinariders.net/modules.p...r=asc&start=45 It shows how to change the two jets and what they look like. Yours will be similar, and you should just be able to take them to your local motorcycle shop to buy more. I only paid a few bucks each for them.

Also, there are no real markings on the carb we used, aside from the name Mikuni. I think that my old carb had PZ27 on it, but I'm not sure.

Jets are usually stamped with a number on them, but not always. Not many of these liquid cooled engines so not alot of info on them.
Likely you have a 27mm carb. Typical of a chinese 200. Allen

If that's a 27mm carb, your quad will really wake up with a 30mm, especially being a 250 (probably rounded up from 230).
