just get yourself a ninja 400 here in the states. horsepower at the rear wheel has been measured at 43+ per the interwebs. 370 lbs is a bit heftier, but that's before stripping it down for real carving. also likely some HP improvements that can be made. 50 to 60 HP is a really great way to enjoy canyon carving! them big motors don't do as much good at Deals Gap or the Cherohala Skyway.

Even if they were priced the same as a Ninja 400, I would take the ZX25R over it any day of the week. Even if the Ninja is a much more useable daily bike with way more torque at low RPM, there is just something to be said about revving the piss out of a small engine like that.

I love a good twin too, but my heart has always been with 4 pots. Be it in a V or an inline, I just love the smooth linear power delivery they offer. V4's have always been my biggest love though as they offer the best of both worlds with torque delivery similar to a twin, and the top end pull of a 4cylinder. Now if somebody could convince Honda to come out with another 500cc V4 like the old VF500F, and offer it for a decent price, I think they would have a winner on their hands, and I would probably buy one brand new. They managed to get almost 70hp from that little motor back in the 80's, which is 650cc bike territory even today.
