It is a real product  I sat on it and everything

I know what you mean though, it should be available in the US soon too. As I said in my first post, these bikes have likely been seen online before, but I saw it in person and they are now available in Canada.

Well yeah but a real product is one that is actually availible for purchase in a given area. (well thats it for me atleast)

We have seen bikes like these before but they were never actually availible.

So its good progress but I'm thinking to little to late for me but I'll be watching as I am interested.

DRZ400 is $5700 plus dealer fees. So, an equivalent jap bike is over $6000. This china bike ought to be in the 3000-4000 range, I reckon. If XY400Y can cruise all day long at 70 MPH, I'd buy it now for that price.

Specs say a top speed of 140 km/h or 86mph... I would assume that can't be improved with performance mods too... So it should be good.

Well there is this one bike but its not really much of a bike and hasnt been proven and it is a bit expensive. DRZ400SK9-MSRP: $5,699.00
The super-moto version is $6200.(I'm not interested in that though)
I have seen these bikes discounted by $700 a lot and even more when they are last years model or even more when two years old.(dealer new)

For me the china 400cc bike is going to have to be under $3000 OTD or I'll just go main stream.
Unless a totally unbiased review/shootout between the two bikes shows the china bike hanging with and even beating out the suzuki in some area's.(other than price  )

But I am interested to see what they really sell for,..... actually I'd just like to see them being sold finally.

I don't know what to say, they are actually being sold, that was the whole point of me posting this topic... Dragon already mentioned the DRZ, $5699 msrp, would be before frieght, tax, and pdi I assume, what would the actual otd price be? I didn't get an actual price for the xy, but I believe they said something between 4 and 5 K Canadian, so that is under 4K US, but that price is set based on our bike market too, which has higher prices... A drz 400 msrp in Canada is $7,399, which is about 300 US dollars more then the American msrp.

"ann arbor, MI" Teamcheap.
I just had a bunch of parts come in from Ann Arbor.

I belong to the Old Fort York section of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group. We had 24 bikes at the Toronto motorcycle show this year. Mine was not selected, good thing too as it was all in parts The show was much smaller this year and will be even smaller next year. A few Korean and no chinese bikes from the reports I got.

Our section has over 40 members and most have more than two show quality bikes in the garage. We will be at the show again next year, but it might be a while before my bike gets shown off at a bike show. Our club is known for doing a lot of riding, which is odd for a vintage group. I did well over 100 miles on each Sunday ride I went on last summer.

Yeah we had a few older bikes, though to be honest I didn't see the groups name, there was only a few bikes, but only one caught my eye was an older Triumph in pretty good shape.

Well I have no doubt they are being sold in canada but where are they being sold here in the states and how long have they been available.I suppose I could run over the border and grab one but getting it back into the states may be impossible.
I'd have to actually take a good long look at one before plunking down any amount of cash for one.

I'd like to see a chinese 400cc dualsport but so far they have been scarce around here but then right now it is winter so it doesnt matter much but in a few months spring will have sprung and it will be on again.

I hear that, not really digging all this snow and ice... Luckily our snow has cleared up for now, but still way to cold for my choice, there was a few riders out on their bikes to get to the show though. If insurance was cheaper here (like down there), I would probably get some insurance on the bike so I could use it on the few nice days.

If they have made it to the shores of Canada we are bound to get some buyers here eventually.

Questions is will they import them to the US. Canada has alot of vehicles that we will never get in the US.

It will need to be $3K or less for me to consider one.

The date on the EPA cert. was May of last year. I was under the impression that the US was waiting on EPA approoval befor we would get them. There must be another reason they have not been offered here yet.
Perhaps no one wants risk the amount of money needed to bring them to the US?

Bike looks awsome!
But there is no doubt that price will be the biggest deciding factor on its sales.
Next will be how our fellow China Riders rate them for quality.

If they make it to our market that is!

There's a dealer in FL that quoted me 3KUS on the yellow 400 and 2KUS on the Xingue 250 Honda XR copy over the phone a few months back.
