Yeah, I know what you mean. No different than any other name brand dealers website. Most will list there bikes with MSRP but can find the same bike from the same dealer listed on websites like cycletrader.com for way less.

Some of ya'll need to check with me before assuming things.
The price posted is MSRP from a dealer assembled ready to ride with a warranty. Some of ya'll done pissed a few of my dealers off by walking into to shops saying you should get it for $1750 because thats what its sold for online. Having experienced techs set up your stuff is worth $$ as well as having a place to take it to for service/repairs. I very rarely get calls from dealers for Brozz anything but much more frequently from guys whose first bike is one they have to partially assemble and prep... They are good bikes as is and guys who can turn a wrench will still get a discounted price online in the future. However, the price is going up for 2020...one due to tariffs but two due to closing the gap between dealer and online prices so I don't have any more dealers calling me like that again. I can't build a brand without a dealer network. And these Bashans will only get better the more feedback I get from owners/dealers/myself riding them.

That's part of being a dealer, you deal with customers who can find it cheaper, if they can't explain in a way that sells their service and justifies the cost difference to the customer they should seek some one with the customer relation skills to do so because its a large part selling.
Same goes for being a distributor, you will have to deal with dealers who do not care for your direct to retail sales. You will never make them happy because they are partially being cut out and don't care about your bottom line just theirs. They don't care that you have the burden of carrying inventory or parts which are large capital investments which drive up the cost of goods sold. Every industry is moving towards wholesale distributors going B2C because as a whole two step distribution is dissolving. I work in a recreation industry for a wholesale distributor that does a good amount of B2C sales and have to deal with both sides of it every day. Never going to make everyone happy so do what moves the most bikes for your company. If you are worried about brand value dilution then go to MAP pricing and make dealers "sell" their extras so everyone is on a fair playing field and the bike can be bought everywhere for the same price + extras like assembly. An apparent 43% price hike is going to ruffle some feathers, either they buy or they don't.

If you price these too high you lose the market if it gets to be that I can spend a bit more and get a Japanese bike or a bike from CSC I know where I will go.

Dealer or assemble one of these yourself? If you are in Miami, this might be a good deal for you!
