Specs of Fbomb have changed slightly over the past weekend. I added both a WD "Blue" series SSD and did a clean install of windows 10 to get rid of some problems. Also installed a WD "Blue" series 2 tb drive that will now act as my main archive. The original 1 TB WD "Black" series will serve as my game drive only from this point. The SSD will contain the OS and a few needed programs only. The saved items from said programs will be saved to the 2 TB Blue drive.
I also picked up an HP Z400 workstation that was delivered today. I will put up a spec sheet on it once i get Speccy on it. Summary Operating System Windows 10 Home 64-bit CPU AMD A8-7600 58 °C Kaveri 28nm Technology RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 930MHz (10-11-10-30) Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. One i am not getting the AMD Athlon II from my friend as he gave me the 6 core Phenom II he got to replace it instead. Turned out the motherboard in his machine would not recognize all 6 cores. Plus the Ryzen build will not occur now since i got the Z400.

My son and I built mine.
cheap corsair case and cannot remember power supply AMD 8 core Vishera 8320 3.5 ghz 4- G skill ares 4gb sticks of ram asus 960 mother board strix gforce gtx 960 GPU 1 tb hybrid HD It is not a super fast PC but it runs campaigns for most games on ultra settings OK although as it ages and games get more complex it is showing it's not keeping up as well online. I have 2 extra 4 gb sticks of Gskill ares ram if anyone needs it make me an offer. |

Here are a couple pics of the new to me HP Z400 workstation. It was good timing getting this since it seems i may have an issue with the Ram in the Fbomb machine. Ultimately as much as i dislike saying it i may need to a deeper overhaul of that machine, Two options on that one.. getting a new motherboard for the existing processor and Ram or new motherboard, processor and Ram. However i do have one trick left to try before going to that level and that is changing out the Ram itself to see if i have a bad stick. But for now i will use the Z400 and probably make a couple more changes to it in the form of adding a second HD and a proper wireless adapter to free up the USB port on the back. Will eventually add a USB 3.0 card to it as well for the high speed external drives i have.
