When straddling the bike and with bodyweight applied (230) inseam height of the lowest point of the seat is about 33 inches. A toe toucher for a 5.11 6.0 ' person. It's fine and allows a great view of road ahead. I think this bike may have been a better value than the hawk. Hawk has more modern appearance than this bashan.

Got that tube patched with a few choice words . Looked like a pin cushion found 3 holes. Took it under interstate overpass creek bridge where brush has been shredded and cleaned out. I kneww better but wanted to check it out
Top speed on speedo said 67 before motor hit the cieling. The speed recorded with garmen GPS was 60 at top end. Even felt good with the knobbies. The gears are settling in nicely too ,better with every ride. Use it to get the mail and have used the rack already . To be honest, I bought it because of her nice rack. |

Sweet the WMI lists it as a manufacturer of motorcycles, therefore in CT I can get it inspected to prove it is road legal. I have a contact I have been working with at my DMV who has been helpful so I will provide this info and hopefully get a bike for $1200.

You can see that rear brake is a drum not a , not a disk as the go carts usa Web site says. I figured it would be drum for such low $. A little white lie

The 167Fmm is a pushrod 229CC engine. You can tell that it's a pushrod by the "navel" above the alternator cover on the left side of the engine.
An OHC looks like this: Scroll down a bit on this page: http://www.motorfans.com.cn/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=180 |

Each state in the US has its own rules as to what can be registered. Connecticut requires the manufacturer be listed as a motorcycle manufacturer by our Federal National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NTHSA)

thanks transberg, i appreciate the lesson. have learned a lot in the 1 month i have been reading these posts. that honda is a nice ride , nice motor, not so nice price. there seems to be several discrepancies between actual and advertised on that web site i purchased from, but i'm very happy considering the cost difference. smooth and quiet.
i'm sure someone like the "motorcycles dealers of america" or some like group soon will shut down the sales of these inexpensive bikes in the us. they will say they are dangerous and unsafe etc, etc, bla bla bla. |
