I've been lurking on http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/forum/index.php for years and do plan to get a new one eventually.
They look and sound just so proper but do seem to require more maintenance and have more issues that a Japanese bike.

Excellent choices, Vince. I'd love to have one as well.

I think the chrome fenders are too much. The black with the painted fenders would be my choice. My preference.

I kinda like the chrome as that's what my BSA had and what I'm used to, but either way would be fine.

OK.

I just got off the phone with Ron and Jennifer.

They still have the bike, and the price is for real, no hidden or added fees.

We had a great conversation. They are fellow Christians, and Gideons. They obviously love motorcycles, and fly a lot. They have two planes, one of which is a Maule like mine. Ron is a very experienced pilot with more than 3,000 hours of flying time.

They will pick me up from their local airport. I will fly in with Monte in his plane. If I like the bike I will ride it home.

Little Sweetie AND the BSA.

I sold Sweetie for a $1,900 gain. I'll put that cashola to good use I think.

I think an Enfield will be the ticket. It combines some of the most desirable of China bikes (price) and the coolness of British bikes with the usability of the Honda.

As I stated earlier, it should be almost free to operate. Little maintenence and 75 MPG.

Style with function and reliability. Sounds like a good combo.

Have not made decision. Many variables. For example even at $5,000 that's not much less than I paid for the Ducati. Also a nice used Guzzi V7 or Triumph Bonneville goes for about that price. Finally Lord knows I don't need another bike lol. Still debating it so I need my enablers to get busy!

You know you're likely to be a temporary steward, so you might as well. While you have it, you can keep your eyes out for the elusive V7 deal.

In Texas, its all about the Big Hat.

In Kansas, you need a Big Tractor.
