Mine came the same way yours did...my bros a mechanic and coming over tomorrow to help me with it....
I would just do your best at assembly without breaking anything and then test the bike and maybe have a mechanic look at it to see if its all good? |

You should also phone trend import and ask if they have a mechanic in there warehouse or anyone who can tell you where all the parts you have and dont know where to put them go....they should have this info for you because they sold you the bike right...ask them about the oil etc....

Is there something special you have problems with? The assembly is pretty straightforward. The battery is filled and charged, the engine is oil filled, but the oil should probably be changed. I drove 40 km:s before first oil change since the oil looked and felt like the "real stuff" Check that the oil filter is mounted correctly, and put some "air filter oil" on it. When you mount the front wheel, make sure that the brake caliper "groove" fits to the "suspension leg" so it doesn't rotate. Use the bushing so the wheel gets centered. (Better put something under the engine to lift the bike of the ground) When you mount the right handlebar controls, make sure that the "brass pin" in the plastic housing is in the matching hole in the handlebar before you tighten the screws. (If you don't, the plastic around the brass pin will break, and the handlebar controls will rotate when you turn the throttle) You should have four screws to mount the front fender also. Use the two "C clamps" and four screws to mount the handlebars. Put the "big tube" over the handlebars for padding. Check all bolts and spokes for tightness. Put dielectric grease in all plastic electrical connectors. The Qingqis is jetted a bit lean, so I suggest you buy a larger Mikuni main jet and change it. Adjust the valves after 1000 km. Don't forget to fold up the sidestand before starting it! Suzuki rebadging is optional

Catastrophix, did you see the "re-badged" Qlink (Qingqi) motard (now also a Suzuki  )? I think it was posted the other day.

What kind of white sand is that, and those funny trees? Our sand is tan, and we have cactus.

The battery was a closed type, we used a rope on the steering bar to lift it a bit.
Only one problem, the front break hydraulic cable seemed to be too long so it comes up on the left side of the bike and over the steering, pretty high above, higher then the steering, its a bit annoying... And the mirrors were hard to tune, I think theyr a bit too short cause i cant see much behind the bike,a big blind zone but i guess i can try to tune them for a better view. |
