allfunmotorsport - yes they do get the tires off the ground. If you look at
where the tires are compared to the stand you can see. Not the best pic. They don't stack that well due to the step. I tried. Penguini66 - If they had a bunch of them that would be an idea to make some cash. Unfortunately I got the last two at that store. Plus, I'm just too honest of a person to do something like that.

I'm jealous. Like a said in another thread, I'm looking for something light and simple to use for my bike. Since I don't have a garage and have to work on the bike out in front of my townhouse, I don't want to lug something heavy and cumbersome up the stairs from the basement just to get the bike in the air. A milk crate doesn't really worke since they are not high enough and, as I found out this spring, they're not strong enough. Maybe I can find a heavy duty folding step/stool at Lowes or HD. May have to check this weekend if I get a chance. I may also take a look at Harbor Freight today or Monday (Nice having one 5 minutes from work).

Hey Pen,
Have you checked to see if a 5 gallon plastic paint bucket would be tall enough. It's almost tall enough for full size MX Bikes - and they are pretty strong (especially if ya keep the lid on it). If you don't have one around I believe they sell empty buckets at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I use a 5 gallon paint bucket with the lid on and the lid actually works as a cradle to hold the bike upright... It's hard to get the bike onto it by yourself but it can be done...

Me and my son were alone tonight as my daughter stayed at a friends.
He once told me he wished his bike was blue. I told him to come out in the garage with me. I surprised him with new bodywork for his 125. I bought it back in December but never gave it to him. So I let him do the work in making his bike blue. Here he is putting it together. And him with the bike completed. The other side. I think it looks great. Blue is my favorite color. He likes it a lot as well. Gonna try and get him out in the back yard to ride it tomorrow. I have a red kit for my daughters as well. Unfortunately she wants nothing to do with it and has told me a few times now. Oh well I guess I have another toy. Maybe one day she'll change her mind.

nice, now your work shop looks like a toy box. did you get her to help? is she going to ride it now? my son's friend put more hours on the girls bike than she does but I'm ok with that, better that then nobody using it. As long as it is always ready for her to ride if she so choose to.

Looks good - always nice to let the kids get in and do some work... best way for them to learn and build their mechanical confidence up.
Hey Eazy - I sent you a PM. (just in case you didn't see it I figured maybe you'd see this. )

As seen in the pics my son did all the work on his. I taught him all about
loctite. We also went step by step through his carb and a few other things. It was quite the fun time. My daughter on the other hand didn't want anything to do with hers, so I just did it. It doesn't appeal to her at all. Oh well. My son was out in the back yard riding his around for about an hour last night. I took some good vids and a few pics to share but accidentally deleted them all due to a malfunctioning mouse. Life goes on... maybe next time around.
