I apologize.
You got your self a good bike don't worry about that, my mind strayed away from your threads intent and I went on a path trying to work out what actual motor or what details were correct.
lol...sometimes that's how threads go. Part, a big part, of the reason I picked this bike is the simplicity of its engine...one cylinder, air cooled, two valves, one cam, a float carb...I just want to ride it and do as easy maintenance as possible. A money pit it will not be....You all might be disappointed but my big plans for it are a set of hand-guards and a dry-pack for storage.
Okay those two things and to get some proper review videos on YouTube of the XTR 250...because right know there's not crap I'll do what I can, but its not riding season here in CT, how much I can get out is very limited. I can't say much if I'm not getting saddle time....but I will keep getting them out over time.

The pick-up is only mere hours away now
I guess no matter how old we get...getting new toys is always exciting

The 10 day weather forecast is not looking too bad around here but I suspect it'll take at least that long, but probably more to get the bike registered and insured...Then it will be January and the dead of winter
Who knows I might just get it assembled, roll it inside to my living room and stare at it until March ....LMAO

The motor is a crf230 clone. Only with a 5 speed and a kick starter.
It is an excellent motor and is proven reliable.
Congrats on the new ride! I even think the new graphics are pretty snazzy.

His bike should have electric start as well. The only other big difference besides 1 less gear is that the new ones come with a 28mm carb now, up from 26.

Honestly, the XTR 250 is like a half price CRF230F, but unlike the Honda, this one comes with all of the street legal hardware.

PaiN, did you get to choose your sprocket sizes like it states on PP's site ('TBD')?

Huh no PZ30? commonly a PZ30 commonly the CB250s 223 or 232.6cc, the GPX should be a PE30 but that is the powerhouse CB250 at 249cc and a different animal.
I guess we will see what they have fitted around them there parts of the world.

Regardless the lad will enjoy the wheels better then no wheels at all

The PZ30 has a 26mm venturi that opens up to a 30mm bore at the carb exit. The 28mm carb in the new CRF has a much less dramatic change between the venturi and the exit bore making for a higher flow and a bit more response.

Awesome! These always look so much better in person than they do in the stupid stock photos on the seller websites.

I had to listen to rash of s**t last night Then this morning while she was having coffee, she says "that's a really good looking bike" .... woman..

edit:
my reply " I know it is....I like my bikes, like I like my woman, tall, slim and cheap...."

I just keep digging myself in deeper....
