At the site I linked too, just add the helmet to your cart, then go to your "Cart" and apply the discount code "AMA50" and it will take 50% off your order

Thanks for the heads up on leather up. I ordered an Xelement armored jacket. I'll see how it fits and maybe get the same pants.

Anyway, I returned it and found out today that they are out of stock for small. So, even though the offer is over I thought I would give people a heads up that they run big (could just be my head) and they are out of smalls. I was looking forward to a helmet in that style, so if anyone has recommendations for something similar, I'm all ears.

Hey roots, you may be able to put thicker helmet pads in your Venture. Maybe these would work.

I get nearly everything at MotorcycleGear.com It used to be called New Enough, because they carry all of last year's models that never sold and other close-outs.
My summer setup is First Gear Adventure Mesh Jacket. (It's a 2014 model, but it's brand new... I guess I got mine last summer) And I got the Scorpion EXO Yosemite Pants. And I've always got an Arai XD4 helmet, and Forma Adventure Boots. The only 4 places I like to shop for gear are: MotorcycleGear.com BikeBandit.com Atomic-Moto.com Sometimes Amazon |

One of these days I'll get enough courage to purchase something, other than gloves, by Klim. I've tried on a few of their adventure jackets, and I've got to say, they are the bees knees, the cat's pajamas!
I want the Klim Badlands Jacket, and the Rally Air Pants... but at nearly 1/3rd the cost of the Cyclone, it's hard to justify. But some day... Maybe as a gift to myself before a long Adventure Ride. |

Oh, I forgot to add, that MotorcycleGear.com sells the D3O armor as individual insert pads. For awhile there, it was hard to find, unless your jacket and pants already came with them. I love D3O! Lighter than the hard rubber that usually comes, and I've been able to get enough that I don't have to swap out the pads between my different seasonal gear.
I've hit the road in D3O already, and it was my elbow that slammed down hard first, on my slip in the rain... nothing... not even a bruise. Same with my hip. |

I've had good luck with revzilla winter closeouts. The rocky mountain atv line looks good too.
I tend to spend more on boots and gloves because all the cheap ones I've tried weren't waterproof and it made for some miserable days. If it's strictly trails I sometimes just were a helmet and normal clothing as I'm rarely going faster than 25mph and it's hot in the summer. |
