On the Loncin website, the KE300F(LX178MN) describes valve adjustment "The valve is driven by adjusting gasket instead of adjusting screw". Gasket? Do they mean shims like some Suzuki GS bikes had?
Also, I wonder about that front caliper contacting the spokes on LowBrewTow's new bike!? The rotor is in a fixed position on the hub.

The valve adjustment is exactly the same as a KLX down to the clearance specifications from looking at the service manual. It's a shim and bucket kind of adjustment, so more involved than a GS. The cams have to be removed to adjust the valves in these engines(KE300F).

So it is a "blind" adjustment. That is, you have to check the clearance, then remove the shim to see which new shim you need to install (note thickness marking or measure with a micrometer and replace). No way to verify clearance until the thing is reassembled! Actually it is not that bad if it is as stable as they say. On the GS bikes, at least you could check the clearance as soon as you slip the shim in place.

Really intrigued at this offering.. recently purchased a 21 Beta 500 for offroad excursions but the thought of a dedicated inexpensive bike (less than half the cost of my Beta used) that fills the gap between monster 500's and wimpy 250's sounds to be a sweet spot if it can deliver.. the Templar X was nice and all but still too slow with the top end.. if this can do 75+ as advertised with enough power to hold and sustain 70mph on highway hills, i like it!

With proper gearing I don't see why it wouldn't do 75+. The various dyno runs I have seen indicate anywhere from 23-26whp(higher end being tuned). The Voge 300 is running the same engine, that's where the dyno numbers came from.

The Lifan X-pect has 14 hp, and hits 74mph peak.
So yes, anything making more than 15hp should be able to do 75mph, provided it's not a sail. Problem just starts with a headwind. I remember my 17HP rebel 250 with a tail wind and correct sprockets could hit 90mph GPS. But with a head wind, it could barely hit 75mph. |

I can't even express how excited I am that chinese dualsports have gotten to this level. I don't know when motorcycling became a rich man's sport, but I'm glad those days are coming to an end. My career is just starting to take off and I won't be upgrading dualsports anytime soon, but a bike like this is exactly what I'm looking for.

I am slowly working through fit and finish and I am finding that the problems are not really parts, but assembly. I had to cut plastic from injection molding issues, reassemble the entire rear rack, but the parts actually fit well. Paladin is a well made bike.
I want a set of Zuumav logo Stickers. Just the manufacturer's name "Zuumav". Different sizes. I would buy them. Zuumav is like Yamaha, Honda, Kia... They make the Templars, TM series, and the new Paladin. Zuumav

I am running into the same issue with the rear fender, I have the bolts in by the battery and I am hoping that by having it in the sun and my hot garage for the day helps it retain that shape so I can install the rear fender without as much difficulty.
