I thought I felt some special Candian energy at that spot...
I also diverted along the Transcontinental Railroad easement and it was a blast. I was parallel to the main 'road' Roger and Spud were on. The roads started to diverge and I was in the back and was afraid we'd get seperated, so I took off cross country to get back with my group. That's when Spud told me about the bent wheel...

I think the wheel got bent in a big pothole on a gravel road, further South of the old rail bed. SOWAG loved riding that bed, just like you did. I think his rim was bent about 30 miles out of Bonneville.

Nice report Fastdoc, always wondered what a Spud looked like. I was in Hells Canyon area last weekend in Enterprise at the Wallowa Hells Canyon Rally and just missed you guys coming home Sunday. rj

How did you all navigate Hells Canyon? GPS I assume? Where did you download the route? Thinking of riding out there in a week or two. BTW, you all don't know if that picture is of Spud or his evil twin...
