Does the sub trans unbolt from the unit motor? Is the unit motor the same frame of architecture as an XR200?

I looked it up on CMSNL, and it has a solid axle. I need to find a shaft drive rear axle that has a differential. Oh well...

I think most things you find will be solid
The Kawasaki klt 200 trike had a rear diff that was lockable. But it was chain drive |

I'm not opposed to chain drive, since I'd be able to change sprockets as necessary. I have an engine with reverse, so that wouldn't be an issue.

Dave, I bought a performance exhaust from Gio, back when they were cheap. It's a simple straight through design with a perforated plate at the end. If you calculate the area of the drilled holes in the plate, they exceed the area of the headpipe. Theoretically, there is no restriction. You could use your stock head pipe and clamp or weld on any muffler you wish.

Lol it's alright I don't mind jacking....
Tgat came out wrong. Lol jk Threads been good and entertaining. I think I might skip performance engine mods for now and focus more on clutch/cvt. cylinder and piston will probably be being replaced But with standard 150cc Any one have a site with links for cvt parts Or is ebay going to be best bet (sugested parts welcome) I've found cylinder and piston on ebay Some say "for 78mm motor" something along those lines From what I can tell there's 2 versions 80mm and 76 or 78mm can't remember what one. Bolt pattern for cylinders. Is there an easy way to tell ? Thanks Dave Quote:

I buy my parts on ebay. Last time they came from South Carolina.
If I was replacing the piston and cylinder I woould step it up to a 170. I think the number of bolts on the valve cover gives a hint to the type. I have never had one open. Just worked on the CVT. I have 10g sliders in a new variator. My variator was broken. I also have the yellow springs. This buggy has plenty of grunt for us, but our yard is flat. We can put two adults in and drag one. Don't now about top speed. Maybe 30mph. I would suggest going the same way. It should climb hills well with one person. FYI. I found the variator with the sliders for about $30. Having an impact wrench is almost a necessity for this job. Sliders, springs, new belt. Look for a bando or gates belt too.
