I've seen a link on here somewhere.. but in my opinion, instead of putting money into the stock carb it'd be better to buy an aftermarket option that allows you easy change option for pilot, main AND needle jet instead of messing with washers

Yes, better imo as well to just get an aftermarket that uses common jets.
However, if that isnt in the cards the mains are easy to find, and any decent hardware store will have tiny brass washers you can shim your needle with. The pilot will be a nightmare to find, and the stock carb needs it replaced unless you are at a high elevation. Mine ran much much better at idle with the bigger pilot. This guy walks you through it but his link is now dead:

Oh and a chain upgrade is something you will want to do. My stock chain was a complete pain in the butt, kept stretching and stretching. Upgraded to the one TK was talking about, adjusted it maybe twice so far.
That being said, the stock chain will get you through for awhile, I'd throw the money at a carb over chain upgrade at first.
