Agreed, Nice work...I would have thought people were already changing sprockets on these bikes?

It's a brand new model and somebody has to be first. I'm glad it's 2LZ, because he'll give an excellent write-up for others to benefit from.

need some more people to check their front sprocket. but It looks like some shipped with a 15t front not the 17t that was in the description for the don't miss the boat blog post.

Checked mine yesterday. A "17t" is stamped on it. I didn't actually count the teeth though.

haven't counted mine, but nothing like the

'where's the nearest tree i can climb" feel of the Hawk's 15/50 stock gearing.
I am going to guess 17 front on mine..

My front is stamped 17T and verified count. Max speed about 62 GPS, indicated 59.

I checked mine last night and confirmed that I have a 15t front sprocket and 50t on the back. That explains my top speed of 55 mph! I may not have to mess with the rear sprocket much after all!

going to check mine tonight and count the teeth. would be mildly annoying if some shipped with 17 and some with 15. but it is an easy fix.

Nice. The 15 is lovely for tooling around in the hills by my house, but I wish I had a 17 available so I could start riding to work!
