Easiest and best mods for the 125cc...

VM22 carb. Exhaust. Front sprocket (16 or 17).

Other stuff...

Adjustable levers. Handlebars. Swap fork oil. Etc.

A few suggestions on this thread to upgrade the engine mounting bolts to either Grom ones or high quality aftermarket ones from wlfpck. You might want to read through it yourself to see what to look out for...

I've been taking my sweet ass time putting things together, mostly because I am trying to let my 6 year old do as much as possible.

Has anyone else had problems taking off the seat? I've been fighting the thing and losing. Aka, I have not gotten the seat off. I know the seat is an issue on the groms, is it the same for the clones?

Seat should be same as grom. I think I saw somewhere that the aftermarket grom seat swaps on.

It is a bit finicky getting the seat out (from my own experience).

I haven't had any issues with the seat on my Hellcat, turn the key clockwise and pull the back of the seat straight up, if it releases, pull the seat straight back, it should come off. I dont have my bike here but I believe it is actuated by a cable from the lock to the seat latch. If you turn the key and it doesnt unlock could be that there is too much play in the cable, or it could be something else.

Thanks for the responses folks. I eventually got it off. The cable that runs from the key to the release mechanism was not connected properly. Well, actually the sleeve that the cable runs through was not connected- on either end. I got that taken care of only to discover that no way to attach the wire lugs to the battery had been provided. I've got that resolved now too.
