Without jacking the thread too far, I have no idea how people drove in the days of Bias Belteds. A couple of years ago, I spend uber-dollars on an official set of Goodyear Polyglass G78-15, double red stripe for my '66 olds. 3 weeks later I was using them as burnout tires! The sucked completely! Went down the road like a snake!

The freeway must have been a scary freakin' place in 1966!

(That and the AM radio would only play "Wanderer" by Dion all the bloody time.)

Thank whateverdeityyouchoosetobelievein for tire technology, that allows us to have a choice. Example, in Russia, with an Ural or Dnepr bike, you had 2 choices. UralShina road, UralShina military. And they both sucked!

Just put the tire on last night. Needless to say the tire is HUGE!!! 8O Especially next to the Chinese one.

No interference with the chain guard mount and oddly enough it appears that the swingarm was acually designed for the tire. It's a perfect fit with just enough space for full range of chain adjustment and some leeway.

Don't know about the chainguard itself since i stopped using it after broke at both mounting bosses. Plan to fabricate a nice sheetmetal replacement.

Looks great. I have a trakmaster waiting too.

Disclamer: NOT for continuous street use. DOT rating is just for amusement purposes.

Looks good... Those wouldn't work on my bike I guess, my 110/90 looked like they were rubbing the chain guard bracket until I bent it out of the way.

You have a point, the rating is "M" meaning 81MPH! :?

Those knobs look like they will climb walls!

Just out of curiosity, how much free-play do you have on that chain?..Looks a little tight in the picture :?: :?:

Probably right.

Just took the whole rear suspension apart to check all the bolts and measure actual rear swingarm travel -as mentioned in the shock upgrade thread. So, now there is about an inch of freeplay on the chain.
