Great bikes. Glad you got a sample of the PNW and some great souvenirs
Once a Zongite, always a Zongite. As a physician and fellow cult member, you know all about the implants.

A Day in the Shop

Thanks for all the well-wishes! As stated previously, I got home early this morning, unpacked and got myself clean....then headed out to take care of "Whitey". Gave her a good bath, wax and Armor All. Then got her on the lift and started going over everything looking for things that needed attention and then mounted the cases.

Much better now! Took her up and down the road and wow....runs good and strong for a 250!
The only malady I've found is the front right blinker is a "no go"...and it blips quickly like I have a burnt out bulb...but they're brand new LEDs. I'll chase the wiring tomorrow.

I also need to procure an owners manual. It's the only thing Veteran couldn't find or maybe they didn't arrive with them?? In any case, I'd like one. I'll contact CSC....and where's my decoder ring!!!???

Here's another pic after the treatment!

Congrats on the pair, you two! The white one looks like the police version (duh!) and would be my second choice if I was to join the fraternal order of Zong, with the OG, super-duper fast orange as my first choice!

after reading the AD again those things dont have any miles on them. Remember CSC owners manual says dont go over 5k rpm for the first 500 mi. (I know, you didnt get an owners manual. I can burn you a copy of the CD manual if you cant get one.)

Thanks Ron! I'll contact CSC and see what they have to say. I'm sure they'll also want our info for tracking purposes. They seem the type who like to keep up with owners.

I missed the part where they only cost $2500 each! That's a bit of a steal. I should report you to the CHP.

I thought I got an excellent deal on my new DRZ 400, and it cost just under twice what your bike cost. Wonderful deal.

Doc, that was my assumption from the advertised post on 2 for $5000. 2lz has not stated cost since it is his prerogative to reveal.

Now I need to start scouring the threads for RX3 info, as the questions are starting to pile up.
This motor, while spunky, is far more 'mechanical" sounding than any other CB I've had. I did confirm that the r/f blinker is indeed bad, and it's not any wiring or connectors anywhere. One on order from CSC. 28 bucks delivered to Volcano. I have to admit it sure is nice to easily access a website and order exactly what I needed. That's a real change from CB's of the past.

I haven't had a chance to speak with them yet and they're closed on Mondays, right? I did email them last night and asked about any possible warranty transfer, among other things.

Batteries in both bikes have been changed already and mine has a really small lithium battery in it, surrounded by added foam to take up the space. I wonder if these are cool to run? Cranks over fine. I'm just curious why my front blinker took a dump after only 98 miles.

The turn signal might be under warranty. Call them up on Tuesday, and you might get a refund for your purchase.
