A bunch of those parts listed are out of stock. Is this permanent or do they get resupplied at some point?

It's true! Reconditioning this bike shouldn't cost much at all

Thanks for getting me closer still!

Tire sizes

Ok if it matters the tire sizes on it are:
Front 80/100 21
Back: 100/100 18

Heh and I found a broken spoke on the back wheel while I was looking. Awesome!

Thanks for the info recracer, I'll keep heading in that direction.

Jim

Yes exactly!! thread 13771 is what I have been looking at closely to kind of see what parts are missing from mine and if it is the same as mine. That bike is super awesome.

So I am thinking it is more than likely a 200GY-2? Ok then I'll look over the 20 websites I have open for that for a little bit.

How could you tell this is a Zongshen? By the picture or Vin or something?

I own a Zongshen Sierra, which is the ZS200GY-2 bike. It is a Yamaha clone. I believe you own a ZS200GY-A, which is a Honda clone. Most of the Honda clones share similar parts. Here is a nice video of a fellow who put Honda plastic on his ZS200GY-A.

We share these plastic's ,these are not the most common these days . Most you will find have the other style plastic parts . most everything on these share the same parts . Mine is different in that it came with inverted forks and a different front wheel . you may also see some with drum rear brakes and others with disc in the rear.

Yahtzee!

Ah hah! There it is, clarity. I know now the -2 is the Sierra and the Yamaha, and mine is the -A and the Honda. Well alright!

Thanks for the info and for final relief! And now I know what it might sound like once it starts too which is very useful.

I'm off to search the forums for sponsors and good parts outlets (I'll prolly have a question about that soon too-gasp!)

Thanks again for hanging with me, sometimes things don't stick like they used to. I'm off to continue stripping her down of lights.

I will have more questions as they come up. Thanks again!
Jim

Well not completely. http://mefast.com/LIFAN/MOTORCYCLE/L...2/200GY-2.html Most of the parts from the LF200gy-2 fit our Honda clones . Soon you will be able to spot the Honda clone engines . The details will be more apparent . The more you study the bikes

I said "style" (ie. Similar in body shape / basic components. ZS style 宗申"款" = Honda clone/ mono shock/ similar plastics) ONLY. In US u can say it's a GY2 style.

Other style "款" such as 白菜款 (XL125S clones) http://s.taobao.com/search?spm=a230r...yes#J_relative , 五羊款 (GL145 clones/ Herder loves this style…) http://s.taobao.com/search?initiativ...1%F2%BF%EE+150

Ok that's good to know as well. It's starting to sink in. I'll prolly find a coil/spark plug assembly and ask "is this right?" anyway though the first time or two.

I also have my CG125 manual now and have been working my way through that. It seems I'm off and walking.

I think this post is concluded for I have my answer, from this point I'll have specific questions I can't find through searches.

See you soon, maybe even out in the brush thumpin around!
Jim

Wahoo I finally understand that now! Heh I think with this site's counseling I am good to go--maybe.

And thank you for the links but I can't read the taobao website. Can it be translated? I am only able to handle English fairly well and butcher Spanish also fairly well.

Thanks again!
Jim
