Sounds like another good road trip idea. I've driven by Boeing many times while en route to SeaTac, but I've never toured the facility.

That's understandable. You're thinking of Bombardier, which is now BRP.

From Wikipedia: "BRP has a long legacy of innovation and has multiple brands: Ski-Doo, Can-Am (ATV & Spyder Roadster), Sea-Doo (PWC and SportBoats), Lynx, Evinrude Outboard Motors, Johnson Outboards and Rotax. The Ski-Doo personal snowmobile brand, in particular, is so iconic, especially in Canada, that it was listed in 17th place on the CBC's The Greatest Canadian Invention list in 2007." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombard...ional_Products

Agreed. What a disappointment. It was no more an Indian than the early seventies Morini-Franco Indian dirt bike I had as a kid.

The Boeing factory tour is great, don't miss it.

The Boeing factory is the largest building in the world by volume.

Here's a video shootout of the Indian Chieftain versus the Harley Davidson Street Glide.

That was an enjoyable video. I really like the faux fins on the Chieftain valve covers, but the fairing isn't working for me. I like the fairing on the Street Glide, but I couldn't handle 2" of rear suspension travel.

I really don't like cruisers, but the Chieftain is beautiful.

Two inches of suspension travel is abominable, even riding solo. What happens when you carry a passenger on that Harley?

I did not read the article.

Is it 2 inches of SHOCK travel or 2 inches of SUSPENSION travel? With the rocker arm it can be a big difference.

Almost unbelievably, it is 2 inches of suspension travel.

I agree completely. The Harley's lack of suspension travel alone makes the Indian Chieftain the winner of that shootout. It's good to see the return of the Indian motorcycles!
