I would take some key stock and a file and make my own. THEN I figured out that the flywheel key was only to locate the flywheel. Once the nut was tightened, the key does nothing. The taper fit is what holds it in place. Once you know this, your timing is unlimited. I never ran a key again. Used a degree wheel and timing light. Just letting you guys in on racing secrets.
Yeah, I've done that myself. The key just takes the guess work out of getting the timing dead on. I'll probably just take the spare stock key from my X22R and file the offset in it and install on my Hawk. I like to have the key installed in case of a back fire the flywheel doesn't shift too far out of timing. I've had that happen before.

I'm shamelessly bumping this thread back to the top like Tako does, but not for personal gain. I thought you folks would be all over this! To get that much of a performance increase for $18 and a quart of oil, and less than an hour of work?!?!

Length and width for the stock key is 14mm x 4mm and the height of the curve is 4.1mm. The offset for the 4° advance is 0.7mm

So that's simple enough, make your width 4.7mm and then cut the opposite sides halfway through the height to 0.7mm

+1 for Joe Henner being great to work with! Super responsive and helpful. I've got one of the flywheel keys from him but haven't put it on yet. (i have a Kayo T4) guess i'm still a little intimated in doing it though Joe did send me the link/part number for the correct flywheel puller.

How do I find the Joe Henner Youtube channel? Sorry, I a new to Youtube and have yet to figure out how to find specific channels. I have subscribed to several (including JerryHawk250), but can never find the channels again after the first time.

not sure if it's exactly the same for your bike but Joe referenced part number: 08-0425 from Motion Pro. (M28 x 1.0)

ok, great! next question, which way should the offset key face so I don't retard the timing by 4 degrees?

Just ordered my flywheel key last night! Shockingly, Joe replied via FB Messenger at like 1230 in the morning, and I was up.

2 mins to paypal some money and boom, done!

Now to get the puller or make one....

The engine rotates counterclockwise looking at it from the flywheel side so Offset will go to the counterclockwise side of the key.

Well this is conflicting ... lol.

The Motion Pro tool is M28.1.0 .... th eone Dan used, that you link here, Jerry, is described on the page as M27x1.0.

Pretty sure one won't work and the other will.

So any ideas all which is correct?
