Can you plate it in NH? I know a member in NJ had a Pitster Pro kinda equivalent of your GPX (discontinued Pitster model with the same engine as yours) and had to plate the bike in one of the eastern states that plates anything--maybe Vermont?

I'm planning to get a GPX 450R when they come out too. But to be honest with you, from a performance & also a resale value standpoint, you should look at used Euro bikes before ordering the 450R. I'm not sure what type of fiding you plan to do, but if you get into riding tough technical trails you'll really need to try the much lighter and higher performance bikes to see what the difference is. The KTM300 2 stroke is an incredible bike in the woods. They are about 40-50 lbs lighter than the Chinese clones. Try one for a season and you can always resell it later for about the same price. I bought a 2005 KTM 300 for $2500 about 5-6 years ago and I'm pretty sure I could get close to that if I sold it today.
I bought my Chinese bike (a Pitster Pro LXR250F) to use as a dual-sport. I compared it to a Yamaha WR250R (6-speed, EFI, water-cooled) for about 1/2 the price. Either one is fine for a dual-sport, but neither can compare to the high-end Euro bikes on the trails. The power-to-weight ratio is so much higher on the top bikes.

The GPX450R will be a good bike, but I just wanted to point out the comparisons if you decide to get serious about trail riding. When I got back into riding I began with a couple of the wrong bikes before realizing what was best for the type of riding I wanted to do.

Quick update

Thanks for all the help guys.

Got the bike and put it together. So far, I'm impressed. It was easy to assemble, came with a nice tool kit and runs great.

I've only had it out for a short ride, as it still needs some fine-tuning, but I'm really happy with the quality and performance.

I do need to find a rack that fits on back and some other accessories.

Jim

According to the specification on there website it's 249cc. Bore and stroke 71x62.2 which would be 246cc.

Jerry is correct.
If you would like some specific numbers off the engine, I'm happy to see what I can find.

Great looking bike. Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

Giant Loop Mojavi bags are popular for dirt bikes without racks.

I’ve looked on their site n the older XTR was said to be 232.6cc but I’ve seen a bike n was 223cc I’m sure
Also older PitsterPro models were 223cc hence I asked etc cause think there’s an issue in info, or the AJP boys should be buying them engine parts etc

If the big bore 249 it’s the biggest n latest out! Finally not the oldest thing in the USA

Sorry, I see you already decided. Here are my comments anyway.

I have a CSC TT250, but the Orion RXB-250L looks really nice and it has a Zongshen engine. It may not be one with counterbalancing, but even so. I like the CG engine for durability, though it has less HP than an OHC engine.

I like mine because I use it for commuting and the seating (especially with the aftermarket seat) is very comfortable. But, if you are more into off-road, then I would go with the Orion for about the same money.

I see the Orion has a heavier 520 chain, which would be better for off-road. It weighs 50lbs less than the TT250, but has one gallon less fuel capacity (solved by adding a 2 gallon rotopax aux tank).

Very nice bike. Didn't the one in the Everide test have a water cooled engine from the Rx3?

The NC250 is in the RX3, the GPX he did the video on, the GasGas and also a few other bikes. Popular durable motor.

I see, same bike with 2 engine choices then? It's good to have choices. The price on this air-cooled model is pretty impressive.

GasGas in the end had to buy the motors as un-finished component's
machine and assemble them there self's...
Chinese machining & assembly was to hit and miss..... to Meany engine failers…
some bikes were fast.. some were slower... no consistency...
They have now dropped the line of 6 day bikes the motor was used in..
