I’ll throw the list on this thread if you want me to. Have had about 28 motorcycles too. a sprint booster is essentially this: I have a Sprint Booster for Porsche Boxster 2002 era. This was 300$ new. Here’s what the factory says: • Eliminate your PORSCHE'S throttle lag INSTANTLY! • Add more "power" to your pedal - from a dead stop to passing. • Switch between factory, sport and race settings! • Make your daily driving WAY more fun! You Can Install it In Minutes Easy three step installation of Sprint Booster • Simply remove the harness connector from the accelerator pedal. • Plug the Sprint Booster Connector (red tab) into the pedal. • Switch between factory, sport and race settings Now, from what I can tell, it’s not really a speed booster, but a throttle response booster. It plugged into the 4-5 wires under the dash that goes to the throttle. I really didn’t like the kind of response the throttle had with it in. Plus, I eliminated one more thing that could go wrong. So, it’s for sale!

Nice lil Porsche, Kinda wondered what the Sprint booster was myself then googled it. There are devices like this for all sorts of cars under various names. Such as Pedal Commander if i remember the one for my truck right. But they do have their drawbacks. Especially when the same effect can be achieved with a proper tune.

Drove Boxster to coast yesterday, and work. 240 miles total in a day. Ran great, top down, stereo blasting. Good Day! Winters getting closer so figured I’d better get out and drive it a bit...
I’m getting a check engine light from one or both of the rear o2 sensors saying the cat(s) is inefficient. Will try to figure that out, but nothing has me concerned.

My Silverado rear cat sensors have been triggered for a year. Don't care.
I admit to a love for the Dasher. I've always wanted to turn a Caravan into a trailer.

Our Dasher was kinda junk. Electrical issues. Like, headlights would go off and scare the wife. It was her first car and she grew to hate it.
Caravan trailer was amazing. I handed a sawzall to my teenage boys and told them to start cutting! Worked out really nicely. Eventually sold it for 150$

Boxster update:
Went to coast over Thanksgiving break. Took my 83 year old mom in the Porsche. She loves it! Kept the top up tho as it was raining. Decided to buy the Circuit Werks rear cat elimination pipes and installed them yesterday. Sounds better, looks better, flows better, less rattles and 25-30 pound weight reduction as well. They are behind the O2 sensors so no lights related to Cat delete are triggered. Oh, and the check engine light (related to the Cat inefficiency) went off a while back and has never returned! Car is being awesome and I’m still loving it. Merry Christmas all! May the new year bring us many toys with engines.

Boxster update!
Looooooving the car. Have had no probs except, a check engine light saying left cat efficiency not quite right. I have a wireless plug for OBdII and a phone App that can see the cat voltage signals. Sure enough, it wasn’t operating correctly. I added a O2 sensor extension to the back O2 sensor on that side, and, signal leveled out and check engine light has not returned! Car is running great. Have 74,000 on it now, so have driven it 2000 miles. I am finding any and sometimes lame reasons to drive it long distances because it’s so fun to drive. Highly recommended! Also, sold F150 and bought F350. Vehicle number 94... I updated my list, above.

If you're interested in F450's or equal, CA will be dumping really great trucks out of state very soon for dirt cheap. Can't register them here without the expensive upgrades. I have a contractor buddy who is in the same lurch.

I’ve heard and already seen that! What a shame.

Ours was gas. Typical VW wiring with all sorts of crazy issues...

I think I overthink about Boxster problems, and then, read the internet too much. I read and researched that they should have their water pumps changed about every 70,000. Mine has 74,000. Many also indicated that a metal impeller is better than a plastic impeller, and to buy a Gates brand water pump (113$) since they have metal impeller. So I did. Pump came in, and has plastic impeller. I called Gates. They said they no longer make the pump with a metal impeller.
So, then went on another forum, Porsche specific, and they recommend the plastic impeller pump since, if the bearing goes bad then the pump blades won’t damage the aluminum engine surface. Sigh... I have no idea which is the correct train of thought. Oh well, I’ll replace the pump with the Gates pump and should be good for about 7 years, lol. Meanwhile, drove to town yesterday and car was fine but got home and saw an antifreeze drip at the back, from the overflow tank. Might have a hairline crack. Was pretty hot out, and I heard the fans kicking in at stoplights. The temp never went up over 190 tho. Here’s a question for ya all. I have a line on a ‘brand new’ tank, but was made in 2008. 50$. What is the feeling about whether the plastic has deteriorated in 12 years, even tho it’s ‘brand new’? I can get a legit brand new UNO brand tank for about 113$. I can get a brand new Porsche OEM for around 250$. Any thoughts about a 12 year old plastic ‘brand new’ still in bag tank?

i personally would run it. it has not been exposed to the chemicals in coolant that can degrade the plastic... but thats coming from the guy that just bought a radiator from a pick and pull because i am too cheap to put a $100 rad in a $250 car... LOL
