I have no direct experience with that engine, but it has been reported to be very smooth, with far less vibration than my non counter-balanced version.

Is there something physical about this engine that denotes it balanced? |

I see you discovered Brother Dan's website. He is a wonderful resource for motorcycle repair information.

It's not street legal at this time, but perhaps it can be made to be, depending upon the laws in your area. I'd offer him $250 if it starts.

BTW, that bike is missing the side covers, which are hard to find. It's also missing the airbox cover, but I have a spare.

Thanks Spud! I have been lurking around for a few days reading all the threads. I own a retro Honda Cub/PassPort/Super Cub/Trail 90 China bike and love it. But I am thinking about purchasing a China enduro very soon so I have chosen this forum for all my research. All you guys appear to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and most of all friendly and will make a great support group. / |

I figured that would be a good parts bike. It runs very smooth but it has seen better days. I got a side project going on old CB200 without motor. I figured it would make a good donor bike. I am really loving these chinese motors. I can't ait to get my hands on the RX-3. The Bashan is proving to be quite a find. I am really happy with it but no time to ride today but I am planning on taking it to Death Valley on Sunday if the weather is good. I want to take it on a long ride so I will get some pics and post the report after I do that.

I got a temp plate for it today and it is insured already. Nevada is really easy for registering bikes even if you buy a bike without title.all you need to do is take it to a place for a vin inspection and if it comes back clear you can get a green sticker or apply for a title. I could have gotten my plate today but I did not have a bill of sale so there was no way to calculate taxes. All I needed was insurance card and certificate of origin. I had to do the inspection at the DMV because it was an out of state purchase otherwise almost any motorcycle dealership can do the inspection for a fee and it would have saved me an hour at the DMV.

Please start a thread on that. The official designation of that China motor happens to be CB200, so it's almost poetic.

"I wish my Province was like that. We can get registration for a bike that has never been registered or is from outside of BC, but it takes a month."
Nevada is really easy when you register vehicles, for the longest time we didn't even need to get green stickers. The only catch is with bikes from a different country, I had bought an Africa Twin in Guatemala and brought it back and after a year of fighting I took it back to Guatemala. |
