Can you ride much on the street with the rear sets?

You can. Just depends on how you want your feet positioned. I've decided that my 390 is pure track duty now. After I paid it off and received the title, I removed the insurance, and putting racing fairings on it.

My MT-10 has street duty, but it's seeing all the track days until they other bikes are ready.

A 100 piece Dremel set from Sam's Club for $36 on clearance. Can never have too many Dremel tools.

Also went to Portillo's for lunch. Mrs. C and I each had a Beef and Cheddar Croissant, with a small fry and a drink. I had hot peppers on mine. Tomorrow morning should be interesting after my first cuppa. Because I got my new bridge put in yesterday, my order came out, 'Beef and Creddar Choissant'. Mrs. C laughed, the cashier giggled, I said "Shit" under my breath and paid for it.

A new tractor. The new house is on 4+ acres of property, and I'm getting a little long in the tooth to be running around with a wheelbarrow and a shovel. So I got a really good deal from Mahindra for this little 20HP diesel monster. It has a loader on the front and a pretty good sized backhoe hanging off the other end. It already paid for itself by making really short work of moving some rocks that had fallen out of a retaining wall.

So far so good! As far as I'm concerned, it paid for itself in the few hours I was running it yesterday. I had a whole bunch of rocks that had fallen off of a retaining wall in the back of the property, and only having to lift them a few inches off the ground to throw them into the loader bucket sure beat the pants off of having to lift them high enough to put into the wheelbarrow and then move the wheelbarrow. Haven't gotten a chance to use the digger yet, but that's on the schedule for the next week or two. I have to dig a 300' trench from the water meter at the street to the well house in the back of the property. The backhoe is going to make a very nice, wide, deep trench that will allow me to encase the water line in 1 1/2" PVC conduit, and then replacing the line or troubleshooting a water leak is going to be a snap...

Don't forget to make a OneCall or whatever it's called in your area to locate underground utilities. We hate to have see you on the news with a blown up tractor from hitting a gas line. I can see it now. "Georgia Man blows up city block, News at 5pm"

Out here, it's 811. I called them when we first moved in, and they marked all the lines for me. Luckily, the gas line is right in the middle of the property, and the water line is about 400' down the road. (Funnily enough, my water meter is behind my neighbors mailbox. Either their mailbox is on my property (I don't think that's the case) or my water meter is on their property (judging by where the utility pole is, I think this is the more likely scenario)

You will have finally reached balance when Mrs. Emerikol fights you over using it!

Color me jelly, Em.

My Dad has a small Massey-Ferguson diesel with a front end loader, snow plow, and, I think, a 64" mower deck. Dad has five acres, so, yeah. The kid next door has a small Ford diesel set up the same way. I wondered why the kid needed a front end loader when he has a smaller lot than I do, then I watched him unload his flatbed trailer of material for the new outdoor kitchen he and his missus are building. Ahhh! So soon old, so late smart for me.

I'll tell ya, Cheesy, it's been great for just knocking out some quick projects here around the property. There are years of downed trees and limb cleanup piles that were left wherever the previous owner pushed them after doing the trimming work. Just running into them with the loader and lifting them up makes getting the tangled limbs out so much easier. That thing has turned out to be one of the most worthwhile purchases I've made in the past couple years. The fact that it also came with a 20' equipment trailer doesn't hurt anything, either. Mahindra had a great financing deal going on, so I'm getting the whole package for 60 months at 1.49%. My payments are a touch under $450/month. Worth every penny to not be spending my weekends doing things the hard way, and then my weekdays recovering from all the pulled, strained, and sprained muscles.

Folks have a lot of trouble justifying a tractor purchase but man....the older I get and the more my faculties start to fade, there's NO WAY I can work our back hill like I did just a few years ago. It turns days of backbreaking work into a few hours of fun....and the progress you see happens so much faster. Also, the body recovery time is a simple one beer away while hosing off the tractor, instead of a week of muscle relaxers and Aleve. There comes a time when it's either give up your dream home and property for a condo, or get a better tool. The LS purchase was a no-brainer.

So, are you a Chase Briscoe fan now???

Doesn't Mahindra also make an off-road version of the Jeep Wrangler?
