In a manner of speaking, I picked up some new bumpers for the Wrangler. I didn't pay for them, the insurance company of the lady that was too impatient in the drop off line at my kids' school bought them for me. Long story short, she decided that after she dropped her kids off, she had more important things to do than wait for the car in front of her to leave, so she backed into the front of my Wrangler while I was getting the Mutant out his carseat in the back. Needless to say, I was less than pleased. When the insurance settled, it was about $45 short to buy these bumpers, so I figured it was just time for an upgrade.

Nice looking bumpers. May have to look into those for the rust bucket.

Cheesy, I got them from Amazon:
Front:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Rear:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The only thing I'll say about the rear is that what you get is actually the next step up from the one they show in the description. The one you'll get will have the latch and post for the swing-out tire carrier. I'm not going to get the swing out tire carrier, so the rear bumper may be coming back off for a date with the angle grinder and flap disc.

Well, I took the last leap of old age setting in. Hearing aids. Now I have no excuse when Mrs. 2LZ says something to me.

You can always turn them off. One of my old coworkers would do that when the former GM would go Bi-polar.

My dad got his hearing looked at a couple of years ago, and the doc told him, "it's not a hearing problem, it's a listening problem." We still give him a hard time about that.

Ain't that the freaking truth! Every person I know who has hearing aids first word in a conversation is "What?!" It has to be a habit by then....

In boot camp, the drill instructors would ask you "Are you hard of Understanding?"

They knew they were yelling loud enough for everybody to hear.

Yet another center cap for my camper wheel. I seem to lose one every other trip. Can't figure it out why they come off, they are a bitch to get off when you want to grease the hubs.

And insurance claim. A deer came out in front of my oldest son's car last night. It got banged up pretty bad. My son is fine. The deer didn't make it. It's been almost a year, to the day, since we got the car back from the shop after his first car accident in December of 2020. (They had the car from December to March)

To make things worse, it was in the same dang spot on the driver's side front fender, and new damages on the driver's side front and rear door.

I heard that from my freshman football coach. Apparently, "No, you are bad at explaining.", was not the answer he was looking for.
