Nice pictures! This picture shows the need for a cover for the coolant reservoir.

Congratulations on your new bike. So how's it run and ride? Any hiccups assembling it and getting it running? You got my favorite color . rj

Welcome, Martin!

Thanks for the link to your blog; I enjoyed seeing the rest of the story. I always knew the RX-3 was similar to the GS, but I hadn't seen them side by side.

I look forward to following your updates. Please let us know when you update your blog.

Placed my order

I finally stopped stalking this site and pulled the trigger on pre-paying and ordering the RX-3 in Blue for my wife. I'll pick it up in Ca. when I get back around Mid-August.

Ryan at CSC was extremely patient and helpful.

I ordered the bike with the optional elect outlets, center stand, factory installed nitrous-oxide injection, and extra running lights.

Unfortunately for me, I'm going to miss Baja this year and I'm praying it'll be an annual event. (I'm REALLY praying it'll be an annual event). I'm eagerly awaiting the post ride report to see if the pace is casual enough to see what's on the side of the road. I've got a feeling Mr. Ed's Moto in Salem Oregon is going to be re-doing the seat. He's a genius. I had him do my BMW F650GS and his craftsmanship, stitching, and end result are well worth it.

Yes Pete, if all goes well we'll be importing them into NZ. And no, we're not in it for a quick buck so making sure we have spares and can offer good aftersales support will be our number one priority. Let's just hope there's enough of a demand over here.

Too soon to say how it rides as only done a short little run on the backroads around our test shed Should hopefully be street legal end of the week.

Assembly was no problem. The setup tutorial on CSC's blog was a big help.

I have a bit of experience with single stage dry NOx and EFI. Now, if you have the money, I can also set you up with a multistage wet system. How fast do you think you want to go?

*Not responsible for collateral damage due to use of NOx. Use of NOx can cause severe injury or death, either from unexpected explosions or laughing your apples off.

Thanks for the offer, but it was a joke, (and I know you're joking too). I'm certain it's fast enough for my wife already.
I value reliability and stability over setting land speed records these days. I saw an earlier post asking if the bike could stand up in first gear; to me that's wonderful if it will, but I have other bikes I can thrash instead of the one that I want to get me away from civilization and back. On that note, I live near the Oregon Dunes and have shopped for many bikes, but I'll never buy a used bike that's pictured with a paddle tire because I know it's been flogged. I'm sure someone'll get on here and tell me they've got paddle tires on their bikes and they don't beat them, but........ok.

I see this as a good entry level for my wife to go further afield than the stock TW goes, (but TW's are awesome bikes). If Yamaha would just make a 400cc version with a bigger tank (and put the kickstarter back on), I'd probably never buy another bike.

I like the looks of the Zong and what I'm hearing though.
