I'm glad you are back safely in the United States, Joe.
Looking at the swingarm and the lower shock linkage, I didn't notice any grease zerks. Please let us know what size bearings are used in these locations.

I really like this Minsk video.
The RX3 seems to perform pretty well off road for a bike of its mass.

Here's a nice video showing the RX3 from different perspectives, with the stock luggage, and the optional, aluminum luggage.

Early RX3 adopter - new to forum
First post on this forum. Thanks to Spudrider for suggesting I join. Have a lot of catching up on all the good info here as I'm on the list for a blue one. Going to the open house this weekend too. This will be my first bike since 1993
All other points aside - anyone else think this bike from the front has a kind of Optimus Prime kinda look? I'm naming mine Optimus. Even that little wingy zongshen symbol looks like transformer hieroglyphics I'm just imagining the first time a 1200gs tries to blast pass me and the Cyclone morphs into a Beemer beating cyborg. |

The fellow in this video pokes the camera up under the triple tree, et cetera, for some revealing perspectives of the exoskeleton of the RX3.

Please take a camera along with you to the open house. You will earn extra goodwill points if you post lots of closeup photographs of the new RX3.

In case you don't know, an American English teacher from Maine rode his Zongshen RX3 on a 15,000 km ride from the Pacific Coast of China to Istanbul, Turkey. Here is a link to his blog.
http://kelleyssilkroad.blogspot.com/ Here is an overview of his route. He didn't have any engine problems during his ride. The RX3 performed well, except the bike sustained several damaged, rear wheel bearings. The bearing problem was likely caused by improper torque on the rear axle. I am impressed the ZS250GY-3 performed very well. The owner now has about 25,000 kms on the bike, and he is pleased with his purchase. Quote:

Here's an interesting video regarding Zuo Zongshen, the founder of Zongshen Motorcycle Group.

If the Zuo Zongshen video piqued your interest, you might enjoy watching the complete video, China Rises - Getting Rich (New York Times Television). This video also describes the founder of Taobao and Alibaba, the richest man in China, Jack Ma.

Here's a video of a Minsk TRX 300i starting from a dead stop, and reaching 130 kph (81 mph).

I believe the NC250 engine has proven itself reliable. This engine has been in production for several years, and it has been installed in a number of different Chinese dirt bikes, dual sport bikes, and street bikes.
The Delphi EFI system is from the United States. Therefore, spare parts and U.S. service centers are readily available. The NC250 engine employs the Delphi MT05 ECU. Here's a link to the Delphi Small Engine Management System Service Manual. http://www.huntermotorcycles.com.au/...l%20Manual.pdf Here's a link to the Delphi control module webpage. http://delphi.com/manufacturers/auto.../gas/ecm/mt05/

I could never get away with naming a bike after a Transformer. I've been called Outtamy Prime, a Decrepticon. Please let us know how the open house goes. Pics would be great, if you have the chance.
