An hour, start to finish. Part of that time was spent looking for my jar of spline moly.

That's a crying shame, right there.

Once the weather cools down, so does my interest in hops.

I apparently don't have enough to do. Did it for all three wheels.

So, it's been a year since I bought the Russian Piece Of Crap.
In that time, I replaced all four tires, the front brake pads, the branch pipes, the rear brake light switch, bike windshield, sidecar u-joints, engine dipstick, and the speedo. Some of that stuff was worn out, some of it was replaced as preventative measures. The first two Russian brake switches did fail and those were replaced by a Standard Motor Products brake light switch. Not a problem since. I rejetted the carbs and added two ammo boxes for storage, a second fuel can, and fog lights. Put a radio in the sidecar and took it back out. I've ridden it in temps as low as +18F and as high as +97F(yesterday), though snow, rain, and sleet. I've racked up almost 7000 miles since last year and have not been let down once. As a comparison, I've had the CX since late 2011. The engine has been out twice, I spent months chasing down an intermittent miss that was fixed by removing the new coils and replacing them with 38 year old coils. The ignition system has been updated twice. First with a FinnBoxG47 CDI and then with a Rae-San Hall Effect system. In the past six years, it hasn't racked up 10,000 miles. That said, it's still a joy to ride, but has been pretty much relegated to show duty and may be looking for a new home next year.
