I traded bikes. Here is the 1971 CL100 just after I mounted the engine and sat tank and seat on it.

Love it! The temptation for me to install a CG200 would be just awful.

Honda CL100 is running nicely. Bought a parts bike with a CB125 engine in a CL100 frame for 40$. Lots of goodies and I have the extra engine running! Not sure what to do with it yet, but spares are good?
Hope all had a good Christmas and New Years. Peace and Blessings to all! Lance

Lance, your projects always make me smile.
Would you consider uploading your pics directly to the forum? We'd have a much easier time seeing them. Tutorial: http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=14422

It’s strange, but a while back, I always got the picture to work right by going to the advanced button. But now they reduce their size and I can’t get them to be bigger anymore... also, the instructions seem to be wrong.
. You must click on the "Post Reply" button, rather than typing in the "Quick Reply" box. 2. Click on the paper clip symbol. 3. Click "Browse" to find the picture on your hard drive. 4. Click "Upload". 5. Click "Close this window". 6. Click on the paper clip again, and you'll see your picture filename under the "Manage Attachments" header. Click on the filename. I don’t have a post reply button. I only have a ‘post quick reply’ and ‘go advanced’ so not sure what’s up with that?

I do the direct download but it limits the picture size to 19.5 kB. I honestly thought this was because I don’t own a Chinese motorcycle any more because it started when I told the thread I no longer own the Roketa, so I figured, well maybe the administrators don’t want giant pictures of non Chinese bikes? So I never complained or anything just lived with it...

Just "a bit?" That looks "Show Room" shiny to me

Regarding photos, nope, even following the slightly wrong steps, still can’t get my photos to be any bigger than 19.5 kb. So I maybe have some setting wrong or ? And, in the list of the photos, it actually says, max size is 19.5.
Show room shiny? I have to say, polishing up the chrome really makes a difference! And not too hard either. I’m using a mag wheel/chrome rim cleaner and some steel wool and some aluminum foil...

Haha! There it is! I used tinypics hosting and got a good size! Also, I didn’t get the side covers paint to match and, I still need to work on cleaning up the back shock and the swingarm. The cases are pretty much going to have to stay they way they are, as aluminum does weird things when it gets tarnished.

Other side! Not bad for an almost free bike... lets see, chain of events. Friend, who used to be my boss when I worked for a motorcycle shop, gets kicked out of his house by girlfriend (in her defense he was not working and smoking the wacky weed). I help him get to a homeless shelter. He gives me a whole pickup truck load of parts including helmets and 1970’s ford truck parts (by the way he’s doing great now, and no more drugs and also, has a job and found religion). I trade the ford truck parts and the helmet for a 1992 (approx) Shadow V2 750 cc engine and everything else that goes with it, except for the frame and tank. I then trade that for a 1972 TC90 that needs a bunch of work. I might have put 200$ into the TC. I realize I don’t like the two smoke very much so put it on Craigslist. Meanwhile I find a SL125 engine, seized, at a junk store for 10$. Gets me thinking about owning an old Honda. A guy offers to trade me the CL100 basket case which fits my half-baked plan of having an old Honda. I get it and maybe put 150$ into it, then also, buy the 40$ parts bike, which is a CL100 frame with a 1978 (ish) CB125 engine, forks, wheels and tank. Soo, I guess I have just under 500$ into the whole thing, but have had a great adventure along the way. I really enjoy working on these bikes. Could put a Honda 100/125 engine together in my sleep I think...
