We got whacked here in NJ with more than usual with 9.2 inches. Had lots of flooding by me. Know some folks that got over 4 feet in their houses. My sump failed, so I just bought a new float switch and installed it. Also bought lots of stone to redirect water and more 50 pound sand bags for in front of the garage in case this happens again. Wish my "What Did You Buy Today" purchase was more fun...sorry folks.

Set up a deal on these last night and am just waiting on some paperwork to be completed to free up the funds. Getting these as a package deal for $1800 and will probably give the seller an additional $300 to transport them to a friends farm out in the same part of the province as him. The blue car is a modified 1987 Merkur XR4Ti and the silver one is a stock 1988 Merkur XR4Ti.

Merkur?! All I see are a couple Ford Sierra:s LOL. Back when I was 18 that was the thing everyone wanted to have. Well, everyone but me cus I'm weird Rich kids had the whale tail cosworth wing on theirs as well as a three buck ebay cossie label on the boot lid pretending to be the real deal.

The Merkur XR4Ti is the same car as the Sierra XR4. They were rebadged as Merkurs for north America due to the GMC Sierra and Olds Cutlass Ciera. But also in the transition they gained larger bumpers to meet NA safety standards and had the V6 from the Sierra replaced with the 2.3 Turbo 4 cyl from the Thunderbird Turbocoupe/ SVO Mustang. Though it was fitted to the Merkur in non intercooled form with a different transmission (T9 in Merkur vs the T5 in the Mustang/Thunderbird)

Bought three marinated tri tips, a ton of veges, eggs, potatoes and gallons of assorted beverages. We had guests Friday morning thru Saturday afternoon. Then just as we got the house and decks cleaned up, our other guest showed up an hour later. He left Sunday afternoon.
I swear we run a B&B sometimes......
