Butane torch, a helping hand, mini-vise on a ball-swivel, pliers, a file etc. Thinking about rekindling an old hobby from my teen years and start making silver jewelry again, this time focusing on rings. Did a few chain bracelets etc as a teen, started making a bear hunter chainmail shirt, got about A5 paper's worth done, then some twat stole the patch from an exhibition it was on display, got so bummed never started again. Still need to order a borax flux cone, solder, a firestone, some emery paper and the raw materials but need to order those from the brits as local offerings are poor and overpriced.

It depends on the zip code. I moved from a testing zip code to a non testing one. But, with the encroachment of the Chi 'burbs, I expect we will be a testing zip in a few years.

Matty-Thanks, I already have the pipe and cats. The shipping would probably negate any savings. It cost a bundle to ship parts to my cohort that used to live in Lahti. Now he lives on a lake, in the woods, at the end of a dirt road. Living the dream.

Plywood to board up my windows for Hurricane Ida. It don't look good for us here. Possible direct hit of a Cat 3 Hurricane. I think the hit from the lumber bill will be a harder hit.

Think it was 200-ish on shipping alone to order a fiberglass tail from Airtech Streamlining on two of my old bike projects, VAT and import fees not included. Lol Lahti is about 15min drive from us, spent a decade roaming the city streets on a lorry truck so know every backstreet and loading dock there is. Cabin on a lake sounds awesome, maybe some day...

Planning on it. I ran and tested the generator last night. I'll board up today before the rain starts up again. My daughter has chickens, ducks and goats so makes it kind of hard to leave them here not know what's going to happen. The house had been through way worst storms. (Grand paw built it right ) I'm hoping it goes a little east of us so we don't get a direct hit.

Very possibly. I just got home for Pittsburgh and now have to get on a plane tomorrow and spend the weekend working in Denver.

Technically last night but close enough. Two solid state turn signal flashers to repair the MG and hopefully get its turn signals and brake lights online again.
