Headlight relay kit for the MGB. Technically i inadvertently ordered it a week ago but as i paid for it this morning i consider it that i actually bought it today lol. What i mean by inadvertently was that i had simply inquired about the kits from the guy who makes them and he shipped one off before i had a chance to answer a couple questions about the car in question lol He took my silence as a go ahead lol

Title, current registration, and new plate for the XS11. In and out in under a half hour without an appointment and $166.00 poorer.
CA DMV. Could have been worse......

I bought a cheap car to use for parts ,then realized it’s better than the car I was going to fix .Its a 2007 Saturn ion ,grandma mint ,34,000 miles ,absolutely beautiful condition for $500.00 .I only wanted the engine but pretty sure it’s a keeper or a nice flip .Its too nice to chop up even though it’s got extreme vanilla everywhere .Did I mention it’s granny mint ?plastic on the seats ,not a spec of dirt or sh1t on it anywhere ?

Yes. Texas still has annual safety inspections. No smog inspection for motorcycles.

Got out of bed yesterday, grabbed a cup of coffee, stepped outside, and saw the splash pan for the Chevy hanging by one bolt. So new pan on order.

Two new mud grip tires for the rear of my truck. With all the rain we've had this year the ground is super soaked and soft. I'm tired of getting stuck when pulling or backing my trailer in the yard. I was looking at getting a newer truck with 4 wheel drive. Tires are way cheaper. If the tires don't resolve the problem then I guess I'll have to pull the trigger on a 4x4. hats crazy is i can get what i paid for my 7 year old truck. But that's offset by the extremely higher cost of a new one.

Yellow jacket traps. They're super-bad here right now and will be until rain.

Try my homemade yellow jacket trap… take plastic milk jug. Cut a 3-4 inch hole in the side but high enough that an inch or so of liquid can still be put in the bottom of it. Fill the bottom up with soapy water mixture. Wire a cooked chicken leg (or other piece of meat) inside of it, but up near the neck. Hang it in an area with yellow jackets. They will come in, eat then drop into the soapy water, trying to escape. I’ve filled them up with those boogers before. And, it will knock down the population very quickly too.

Our friends use a 5 gallon bucket for the same idea. Works really well. I usually take the traps and toss some raw bacon in them. Works better than the magic solution they come with. Damn things are a menace. Everyone I know has been stung at least twice this season.
Secret is (as you know) to set the traps AWAY from where you want to be. I love it when I see people hang them on their porches.

@%*$#*& Wrangler. *%&$#

Many folks here know I have an 05 LJ, a two door Wrangler Unlimited. Bruces keeps trying to find ways to relieve me of it.

Needed to replace the rear main seal. To drop the pan to replace the rear main seal, one needs to drop the the exhaust pipe from the engine and totally remove it from the vehicle.

Get the rear seal done and pan back on. I need to order a new set of OEM bolts and speed nuts to put the exhaust back on because they are crap. I back the Jeep out of the garage to get it out of my way. Without the exhaust, it sounds as loud as my neighbors 55 Chevy with the LS6. Actually sounds better because it has a dual exhaust manifolds.

I need to move the exhaust pipe off the floor and out of the way so I can get crap back in the garage. I've had a CEL with a PO431 code that means either a bad o2 sensor or a dead cat. Already replaced the the 02 sensor so I decided to take a look inside the cats. Wish I hadn't.

Cylinders 1-2-3 cat good.

Cylinders 4-5-6 cat bad.

All those missing bits are plugging up the rear converter. Explains a lot.

Took me awhile to find an exhaust pipe I was willing to pay for. I still ended up paying over $800.

So now, this is where I got PO'd. Mrs. Cheesy told me about a garage sale in the neighborhood I should check out. I went on the Ural and ended up talking to the seller for a bit. I noticed that he had several Jeep fog lights for sale and looked up at his garage walls where he had Jeep grills from 1953 up to JK. Definite Jeep guy. Told him I had the black 05 and his eyes lit up along with "You drive the LJ." Got to talking some more and I told him about the exhaust. He asked if I'd bought one yet and I said yes. Then he asked what I paid and I said eight bills. Then he tells me that he has a take off 05 LJ exhaust in his attic with 10K miles on it and that he would have given it to me.

Jeez, if he'd only had that garage sale two weeks earlier.
