Brought her home today. Bit of a change after a Triumph Daytona streetfighter and a Benelli Tornado 900

I bought a "pulled tooth" today. I'd rather have the riding suit.

I didn't exactly buy it. It was given to me.
My kid sister rents out storage space in her barn. One client didn't pay up, so she ended up with this welder, among other things, for the non-payment of the rent. My sister can do many things but welding is not one of them. She gave this to our dad several years ago. Dad has a pacemaker and, like 2LZ and his big motor, set off his alarm recently while using it. I knew nothing about the alarm until yesterday, when I went to see him for the first time in 18 months. I figured he just wanted me to weld stuff on his trailer because he is 86. So, anyway, I used this little snot yesterday as a flux core welder and, damn, is it sweet. Unlike my HF wire welder which has two heat settings, Too Hot and Way Too Hot, this Lincoln is way more precise. Dad looked at my welds and told me to put it in the back of my truck before I left..

Wipers and tail light bulbs for the Previa. Will end up modifying the drivers side wiper to accept a common aftermarket blade and canibalize the other wiper to put its rubber on the stock passenger side.
Turn signal bulbs and wipers for the C10 A 10 pack of 1157 LED bulbs to upgrade the C10, Jeep and MG tail/brake lights Clutch slave cyl and hose for the MGB.

My 30+ year old HF MIG welder still going strong. I do need to replace the gun as it leaks real bad. I've been using flux core and welds just a good, just not as clean and gas welding. That's back when HF was mail order only around here.

i get to weld multiple times a month, and the repairs need to be at least ok looking, as the customer pays $90 an hr for my labor....LOL i am completely self taught though, practice practice practice... watch the puddle, not the arc, as that is what gives you the stacked dimes look... if i really try i can put out some darn nice welds... this was with the shop Hobart 240v true mig.

When we bought this house I was fortunate enough to talk the price down a little bit so I was left with some windfall money, decided to put some in good use and bought the best 220v welder available which was the Kemppi MinarcMig Evo200, fully automatic, all you need to do is enter what you're welding and how thick it is, and the machine does all the calculations for you. Still shows in the outcome if you haven't welded for a while but you can pick up fairly quickly. No way I could shell out 1600€ on a welder now so been quite very pleased with it for nearly a decade, never needed any service so far.
Edit: just remembered the shortest but most effective sales pitch I've ever heard. When I walked into the store I was greeted by a seller at the door, I told him hi I want a welder but I don't know how to weld. All the guy needed to say was; don't worry this machine does

I use a stick welder at work pretty often. But it's so old, that all the numbers are wore off the knobs and dials. I have to do a lot of guess work to find the right voltage. There's another one setup for reverse polarity, but I can't get it to arc half the time. I felt better with the ol' gassless mig. Lol. |

You’d think I knew what I was doing with an oxy-acetylene set, stick inverter, now two flux core, one that can be converted to MIG, a TIG/stick unit, and a plasma cutter. Plus a pile of steel.
I did at one time, then I switched jobs and me time shrunk so the skills went dormant. 4 months, 29 days.

Helmets for Pain&Panic, (40€ each), car safety seat (40€) on which I modified the seat part shorter to fit on the pillion saddle of the GTS, hand made a harness so that it'll hold during a hard braking but will break open in a crash, a 140cm Held riding suit (50€) still need to find a second suit for the younger boy since he's only 110cm and 140 seems to be where they start.
