Speaking of 'EDOGS', went out to the big garage for five minutes. Came back into the house 90 minutes later and bought a 10 tooth 3/4" bore 50 chain front sprocket for the diesel project.

Wen 3800i generator. I've had a Wen 1250i for several years but wanted one big enough to run my welder and air compressor when the house batteries are low (off grid house). Was $649 free shipping from the Wen website. I suspect a closeout to make way for a new model. Made in China of course. |

Boxes and bubble wrap... This packing thing is getting old. And the house looks so bare without all our décor up on the walls. We also packed up the bar. Maybe we need to work on our labeling system a little bit... http://www.chinariders.net/attachmen...1&d=1618794536

-DeWalt DCF880N 18v battery impact gun (already have an XR series drill so got the unit only)
-a set of "flextension" momentum restriction rods for impact guns -a set of deep impact sockets -a telescopic inspection mirror with LED light -a fuel filter wrench Couldn't find any motivation to fix the yamaha to get back on (chinese) builds so that's still in backorder.

Went the the Woodstock, IL Walneck's MC Swap today. I was on the prowl for an exhaust pipe of any kind, ditto for a muffler, and maybe a reasonably priced HD gearbox, all for the Diesel Project.
Gave up real fast on the gearbox, though that was a given. Plenty of boxes but nothing with an asking price I was willing to pay. I was starting to get discouraged about finding a BS pipe and muffler. Lots of HD pipes and mufflers, but no one was willing to break up a set and I didn't blame them. About ready to give up when I spotted a solitary muffler off of who knows what. It had a $10 tag on it. I picked it up to give it a once over and without me haggling, the seller just said $5. Sold. So, I'm wandering around with the muffler on my shoulder and I spot a pipe. I pick it up and the seller just says a buck. Sold. Okay, found what I'm looking for. I'm into the day for $6 plus admission. Time to blow this pop stand. I'm just about to the exit gate as I look down to my left. Dammit, there's a benchtop combo belt and disk sander with a $20 tag on it. Handed the guy a twenty and said thank you. So, twenty six bucks got me a bench sander, a muffler, and a pipe. And I easily got 15000 steps in.

Started the process of trading my '95 Chevy S10 Blazer for a 1973 MGB Roadster. Since i have the Jeep and now a '78 F150 4x4 it didnt really make sense to keep the S10.

It will def be an interesting experience i am sure. Already starting to look at the idea of swapping in some modern electronics such as an ATO fuse box and upgrades such as H4 or LED lighting. Most likely going to do further research into the idea of fitting something like an MSD Street fire ignition box wired up using the original points as the trigger and doing so in such a way that on the off chance the MSD fails i can always swap back to the lucas ignition by simply unplugging and plugging in different harnesses. Had planned on a similar ignition set up in my old '49 Dodge but never got that far. Seemed to make sense to have the old school ignition still intact for emergency use.
