Yes cheese it's fixed ,I thought yours was as well ? For the most part it is fine ,but depending on your terrain it's not a bike you will mile up .Do you see the little rusty chrome band around the seat post ?thats part of something called a "Walky Dog " ,a short bar attaches to it and it has a real short leash on it ,you hook it to a body harness on your dog ,and you can very safely run your dog without fear of running him over ,or having him lose an ear in your spokes or chain ,or whatever .Anyway ,my knees are not the greatest for waking great distances (my son still walks the dogs for 1.5 hours ,two or three times a day ) ,yet I can let him run at his pace and tire him out completely in 5 minutes and being a fat bike doing it on snow and icy roads is no problem either .My 15 year old pit bull pulls the bike faster than anybody would want to go ,our year old giant black lab has not been on it in a while ,I am waiting for him to calm down some more but probably this summer he will get his turn again ,hopefully by then he won't pull me into the damned bears ,or up the tree after the squirrel ,or after the stupid cats or rabbits ! .

I'm surprised to hear that it's a fixed gear; I thought it would be a coaster brake.

I like the idea of the "Walky Dog" device, although my lab would have me yanked off the bike.

It was not fixed gear when I got it ,my son was messing around with it and he converted it along with several of our other bikes .I think he figured I wouldn't ride it anymore and he can have it all to himself .I don't really get it ,or like it
That's where I am at with the Walky dog with Hootch,he was great when he was smaller ,but he is close to 120 lbs now and still learning .Domi the pit bull was a little older when I got the thing ,and he is a very powerful dog but I have had zero issues with it and as old as he is he just loves it .

I believe I would like to see some photos of this 120# canine on the pic of the day thread.

We should send a black lab to all terrorists to melt their murderous hearts.

Mine isn't fixed, Bruce, but it's one the few I have that isn't. I have four days off now, so maybe I'll sneak out for a ride.

Those are wonderful dog pictures. The puppy in the snow is indeed a heart melter.

Pictures of my United States Postal Service Trek. I wish I was riding it rather than taking pictures of it! Well, it's good hiking weather at least. Also mountain biking LOL!
