sorry the picture is sideways... it's correct on my computer, and I can't figure out why it went that way when uploaded...

Did you take the pic on an iPhone? That happens to me sometimes.

I love that TC!

I bought off eBay, a left engine side cover, with the high/low range parts, reinstalled (old cover was very cracked) and, got the piston rings unstuck (just rusty) honed the cylinder and put the TC90 back together. Good compression! I ordered a key based on the code on the ignition. It’s missing the carburetor, clutch cable (broken), oil bottle cap (broken) and the speedometer is missing its plastic outside cover. I’m almost positive I have those parts sitting in my moms garage in Alaska from my Frankenbike TC90 so, for now, TC90 is wheeled into the back corner, awaiting better days, which means probably late June I can finish the rest.

Meanwhile, I have headlight, tail light and turn signals on the TTR and am working on the wiring. Actually had the headlight glowing high and low beam last night. Progress! Unfortunately it’s still 37 degrees and my shop heats up slowly...

Had a question to ask someone who has the TC90.

Part #11 was missing from mine. I found one that seems to fit fine, but when the nut is tight at the end of the assembly, the shift shaft will spin, but it doesn’t spin easily. Does that shaft rotate, or is that little bearing setup just for smooth shifting? Seems like an awful lot of high tech parts; little bearings and smooth washers, etc. to just shift the thing from high to low...

I always wanted to try riding one with high and low range; I'm not even sure how they work.

I used to kick my tc125 in and out of high and low with my heel, and it never went bad. But, that was back in the 1980’s and I just don’t remember anything about how it was adjusted or how it worked...

I got my key in today and it works!

So, just a waiting game now for a trip up north and some parts to be located.

very classy looking... they look 'right'.

Also, I'm trying to find an approx 6" round sidemount headlight for that TTR. I accidently bought a 7" from ebay and it just doesn't fit correctly...

If anyone has one, I could pay a little for it...

Are you asking for an entire 6" headlight and housing?

Does it matter if the housing is metal or plastic?

No not really as long as it’s whole. And cheap 😉

I think I can cover both criteria. I won't be near my buddy's barn where the parts are for a week and a half, so feel free to bump me if I forget.
