I bought a bunch of junk for my TW today, so wrenchin' will resume soon. A new pair of blue gators, a 15 tooth sprocket, a clutch cover gasket and a crash pad. I need some shop time.

In preparation for the new sprocket, the oil was dumped (again), and it was horrible (again). I also removed the oil filter, and discovered that I was mistaken; it's a washable filter that I bought, not pleated paper. It seems to be catching debris:
The new sprocket was a really good deal! I got it from the good folks at Gnarly Parts. Sorry for the fuzzy pic. That's all for tonight. Next, I'll remove the clutch cover, have a look and make the adjustment that is referenced in the manual. The clutch slips a little when I'm really on the throttle, but that could just be the degraded oil. Stay tuned.

PBI makes great sprockets. I use the PBI C/S sprockets exclusively on my Zong.
To the best of my knowledge, all the TW200 oil filters are reusable, Weld. Some of them appear to be disposable, but they are constructed of a fine, metal mesh. Spud

That filter is earning it's keep! Yuck!
I've been debating a washable filter for the YZ. They go about $40 though.

Wow! Even the K&N or the latest Yamaha washable filters are less than $10 for the TW.
