126' of 16ga copper magnet wire. Seventeen bucks and change. Tomorrow, I get to spend $2200 to get my temp bridge removed and my permanent bridge put in. I am almost at the point of yanking the temp myself.

Not Hawk related but this is our toy hauler. My '04 Silverado has the LS1 5.3L and factory dual exhaust, and at quarter throttle will press you into the seats with 295 hp. I just ordered this cold air intake, on the base model 5.3 with single exhaust it will add 13hp, on my LS1 with factory dual exhaust it will add 20hp, and 16ftlbs of torque, and increase my fuel economy from 16 to 19 mpg. I'm definitely stoked lol. 🤠

New eyeglasses for me and Mrs Bender. Over a grand with progressive lenses, glare mitigation, sun tint, blah, blah, blah.
-I just survived the first round of layoffs at my company for 2021, so we didn't want to put off eye exams any further.

Lemme know how that works. I did the "air box mod" with the K&N drop in on the Ranger. Helped for sure. The original snorkel was tiny.

Got my hands on an old Triumph TT600, its seen better days. Runs quite well though, going to make it a long-term budget restoration project. The "skull job" that was air brushed on every body panel is pretty amazing. Gator skin seat cover was a nice touch too, very Florida.

Managed to get my hands on a NOS set of Fairings for it, so it will be OEM black when finished.

Wound up having to buy a new computer today. I tried to load this years' tax software on it, and it pretty much said "Nope! Not adulting for you anymore..." And now it won't stay running long enough to get the info I need off of it so that I can turn that one into my garage computer to run the TV out in the workshop.
I picked up an HP laptop with a 17.5" screen, 1TB hard drive, and 512 MB of RAM. So far I'm super pleased with it, and it seems to be much faster than my old laptop.

That doesn't sound right because it isn't right. I'm showing my age and had my wires crossed. It has a 1TB drive, 12GB of RAM, 17.3" screen, and an Intel Core i5 processor. It took me forever to get it started up, and I'm really unhappy with all the crap that comes preloaded and "cloud storage" stuff. I spent a couple hours last night stripping all the useless programs out of it that I don't want and won't ever use. Now I'm pretty confident that it's just running the stuff that I want, instead of all the free trial, create an account, blah blah blah stuff. I picked it up from Costco for $600, and overall I'm really happy with it.

That doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Hope you get back on your feet soon!
