By the way, I updated that brake pin to a more robust material. This is actually a re-used bolt from the carb. It has a nice smooth section where the two pieces interact and enough thread, clearly, that I could loctite and double-nut it. Shouldn't be going anywhere.

If you're still worried about it then you can always cross drill, add a cotter pin, and then tack weld the nuts 🤣
Joking obviously, that should service you well and you can always toss a spare bolt & nut into your tool kit when you're hitting the trail.

I know I would literally trust my life to an old chineesium carb bolt with literally not a mark on the head of it ! l.o.l. .

My brother-in-law Ray, the same one who put my bike into the pallet picket fence (post 182), caught me running the Associated Pro SC10 when we went to race yesterday...except there was no race. No worries, we got some good practice time in.
