I can appreciate that; too big of a deal for a small reward. Better to find a more suitable candidate for the China motor. I still like the XL185 route.

Anyway, might take a chance on it, if the KTM or the Chinese bike sells.

Probably have a buyer for the KTM and one guy is slightly interested in the Chinese bike. I know now, that Chinese motorcycles are hard to sell. Good thing I paid very little for it. If it doesn’t sell, I’ll just keep riding it!

My only question is, why not keep it? They are so cheap to own and run that they aren't a burden. They are also the perfect "no fucks given" kind of bike that is great for beating up as a commuter bike. I use my Hawk for going to work and small trips to the store more than any other bike I have owned before. Or it could be a great backup bike.

I would consider keeping it, but, am trying to make 2 so-so bikes into one decent one. My sister doesn’t like to ride the Chinese bike. Heavy and weird handling. Scares her. So, I figure, combine two bikes, and then buy 1 better bike, like an XT225 or TW200 and should be good to go. Actually, I see a TTR125 electric start with a street legal title. Weighs about 100 pounds less than the Roketa! So, leaning that direction.

Chinese Roketa is sold! Was an interesting experience and even made me a little money.
Not really sure I’ll miss it. Kinda liked the pushrod Engine. But anyway, onward to the next interesting project.

Sold the KTM and the Roketa. So, this weekend purchased a TTR125 for 900$. Wife sat on it and felt very comfortable. Pretty small bike, so both wife and sister can ride it with ease.
About 190 pounds, 100 pounds less than the Roketa. Have a title for it, but may be flagged dirt bike. I have to investigate. If so, I’ll figure out plan b. Ordered a used stator and wiring harness for it, from an electric start version. Have leftover dual sport rear lights from somthing... Honda 650? Not sure, but will fix up the back end very nicely! Process and project will continue!

The TTR125 is a great medium sized bike for smaller riders. I am sure both will like it a lot more, epecially the weight.
Not sure how the registration process works in your state, so not much I can offer there. Where I live, if it has the proper lights and equipment it can be registered for the road.

Did they reduce the picture quality? It looks great on iPad, but can’t get it any better when I upload it...

I hope you can get a street legal title for it.

Still gathering parts and having fun doing so. Also, I traded for a 1996 1100 shadow engine, but then am trading that for a 1972 TC90... lol...
keeps me off the streets! well, figuratively speaking ![]()

Tc90
My 'new to me' TC90 is in the garage! The extra cool thing is, I think I still have a dead but complete engine in Alaska. My 'frankenbike' is also a TC90 and when I put the Honda XR100 engine in it, pretty sure I kept the other engine around... Hoping anyway
