So I asume this is a full flow system ?...
wondering if 10mm banjo fittings could be a bit on the restrictive side for full flow... ..

The most important features to me are two. One, the oil take-off is right in the higher pressure and flow of the lubrication system, and two, the lines and radiator add at least a half a quart of oil to the system, if you add a check valve in the line to the oil cooler. If you don't put a check valve in the pressure line, it will drain back into the crankcase at shutoff. Which means you will have to figure out where full really is. In other words, without a check valve, and with the oil to the normal line in the window, once the engine starts, there will only be a half a quart in the crank case. Adding a half a quart of oil would be a 50% addition of oil to the system. Cooler oil is a good deal in these engines.

inlet into the top of the cooler , out let at the bottom..
and the inlet line will be the only part that can drain , not the cooler as well. .
