I used a cable luber like this one on an old PE175 rear brake cable: http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0182/ The cable was seized and wouldn't move at all; I forced a bunch of solvent down the cable (Brake Clean maybe? Can't recall) until it came out clean and followed with Maxima Chain Wax. It worked beautifully after that and I never touched it again.

I did buy a cable luber. It works well and that helped for a couple days. What I didn't do and was thinking about earlier is letting it drain out. I need to totally remove it and try that. I did order a new one from scrappy dog.
And now for pics. The battery for the clock goes under that little grille on the left. Now I know if I am running late without trying to see my watch. Everything is covered with pollen right now. I painted the exhaust with high temp grille paint. It is cooking it off. Sign I am too lean? Maybe need to jet up a touch. And the beauty shots at the office parking lot. It rides like a pogo stick on the rough pavement otherwise pretty smooth.

Your scoot looks great, Allen! I wouldn't load the large travel trunk too much, or you might perform an unintentional wheelie! I am a little surprised how far the travel trunk hangs off the rear of your scooter. 8O

Looks great! Much nicer with the rest of the plastic on . Bonus of the trunk is if you put some heavy items in it, it'll keep you from smoking the back tire on take off. Looks good and you'll save a ton on gas. Ride safe!

The stock honda rack is pretty far back. I installed the trunk as far forward as it goes. It looks alittle funny, but rides just fine.
I believe the label on the rack said something like it was rated for 22lbs. Smoking the tire. :roll:

I think the trunk looks fine on your scoot, Allen. When it comes to travel trunks, I definitely subscribe to the philosophy that "bigger is better!"

I remember the sales brochures from the eighties; I like the pop-up headlight and that huge taillight. Looks like fun!

If you care to experiment, you can try baking the paint in. Clean the muffler surface with some Scotchbrite and paint it again, then heat it up in your gas barbecue. Allow it to cool completely, then paint it again. Continue the paint and heat process as many times as you wish; apparently that's the key to a long lasting heat paint application.
