That bike looks a little more vintage too, very cool. Are those handlebar brakes on a toddler bike? Color me impressed. lol.

Yes, yes, and I agree about the seat. I thought I taught my daughter better. Then again, he ain’t four yet. Knowing Owen, he just hopped on it when his Dad pulled it down.

whitelightning-Going by the date stamps I found on the bike when I bought it, it’s from 1962 and we think it is a Phillips. And, yes, cable operated stirrup brakes front and rear. Owen didn’t even need to be told how to use them. He’s the third grandkid to start out on it.

Tiny bit of home improvement. The light on top of the mirror cabinet has been busted for something like two years and I`ve been rocking a screw clamp spotlight at the corner of the mirror, that gave up the ghost last night as well so decided it`s high time to DW. LED strip gifted from neighbor, old transformer off my treasure chest of salvaged parts, two sockets and a rod of stick on wire canal from hardware store. Overall cost a wee bit under a tenner, power drain a whopping 2.4watts.

I don't believe PETA would approve. Perhaps if she asked the guinea pig what they thought... or maybe used a probe like those UFO dudes.

That guinea pig thing makes me feel better about America's youth eating Tide pods.

Yes it is as in Sanibel Island. We have a cottage there and lived on the island for fourteen years starting in 1974. Might moved back there one day. My wife and I were out there today checking on our daughter's house and was the island deserted. All the rental units are shut down. We were riding our bicycles for a bit and only saw maybe six other bikes there.
All the beaches are shut down. Me on the causeway with my TU250X. All the parking is fenced off.

In 1980 ,I worked at Epcot as a musician in the Canada pavilion ,I was there for 6 months and met a young lady that was from Sanibel island so I went to her parents home several times there on our days off .First time I saw houses on stilts that high ,and I still remember the orange juice ,you know when go outside pick an orange off the tree ,juice it and drink it ,there is nothing like it up here .
I had the time of my life as a 14 year old l.o.l. .
I remember a bunch of shrimp boats beside the causeway ,and her parents had greyhounds that raced around a little track ,all stuff I would of never seen in the dead of winter in Northern Ontario !
