My dad helped get the stuck screws out of the case (welded a nut to them), so progress should be able to continue again.
If anyone comes across a good condition rear left signal light for this bike (other years are different it seems), I need 1, the other 3 are good.

My dad died when I was 8 and some of the few memories I have about being with him were him teaching me how to change oil and do a tune up on our old (new then) '72 Cadillac. Father/son mechanical projects are priceless for bonding.

I certainly hope your injuries are healing from your accident. How are your hands, and your back recovering? I still remember you in my prayers. Spud

As far as dad goes, I hope to see him when I get home. I'm not sure what God does with non-Christian Jews such as my parents were but I'm hoping for the best...

Got the engine in the frame, only a little scratching on the frame trying to wiggle it in there... All the bolts are in, but only finger tight right now (got to make sure I didn't miss anything). A few more wires hooked up. Brake pedal installed. Starter back on the engine. I was going to attach the foot peg / kick stand mount but... I misplaced the bolts for it, so I will have to look around :? No pictures today...
Sorry about the lack of responses around the forum lately, work has picked up lately, at least for a short while so I don't have as much free time to check on things...

Got the rear pegs on, chain guard on, front peg/stand support and kick stand on. Front pegs I took apart and blasted and gave a fresh coat of paint. Waiting for it to dry then I'll put them on. Tightened up all the motor mount bolts.
I can't put on some cables and other parts yet because I have to pull the wheels back off to put on some new tubes and probably tires. I think I'll order the Dunlop K70's from motorcycle superstore... When I pull the front off I'll put on my new fender too. Going to pickup a battery and some oil pretty soon too. Need to rebuild the carbs or clean them, haven't really looked at them yet... I actually have 2 sets (the cb350 parts bike I have has a good set I think). Then once those are on the tank and airboxes and side covers can go on... I think I need to get some pieces for the seat latch but I'll have to look into it.
